My Partner and I took our son for dinner at El Baúl as we had struggled to find a restaurant in the local area of Calas De Mallorca, that was able to accommodate he’s allergies (Milk, Egg, some Nuts and Sesame). After speaking with a member of staff via the whatsapp channel, they upfront stated they cannot 100% guarentee but can do their best to try. We later that evening visited and were very warmly greeted. After having a look at the menu, our server checked with the chef to confirm again that the pasta dish we chose for our son was free from and not prepared with anything with allergens. The food was wonderful, I had the catch of the day whole SeaBass with rice, my partner had the Burger and Potatoes and my son had the pasta with tomato

Restaurant situé sur la promenade de la plage de Cala Marçal, vous pourrez apprécier la beauté de la mer depuis leur jolie terrasse. Un choix raisonné de plats, mais avec de la variété. Nous avons opté pour le poisson du jour (la lombina) ainsi que la viande de Mario. Le poisson était un poisson entier, très bien servi en quantité comme en présentation. Les mets sont de qualité également. Par contre il y avait de la coriandre et c’était assez relevé. La viande était également très bonne et très belle présentation mais la sauce était vraiment très relevée, à en avoir la bouche en feu à la fin du repas. C’est dommage. Très bon rapport qualité/prix, c’est indéniable ! Nous avions demandé également 2 ice tea, c’était des boissons faites maison avec des morceaux de fruits. Super malheureusement c’était pétillant et je n’ai pas apprécié la boisson a sa juste valeur… Enfin, nous avons terminé notre repas par des boules de glaces faites maison : très bonnes ! Il y avait tout de même des petits couacs qui expliquent la perte de la cinquième étoile : le serveur était antipathique, un coup il nous parlait anglais, un coup espagnol, alors même que nous avons fait l’effort de lui parler en espagnol du début à la fin, il continuait à nous répondre en espagnol. C’est pas manque de parler espagnol puisque nous l’avons entendu dire à la table derrière nous qu’il était andalou… Bref. Ensuite, beaucoup d’attente après le plat principal. Nous avions fini déjà depuis 15 minutes, notre serveur dressait les tables vides de la terrasse, jamais un coup d’œil à notre table, j’ai dû me lever pour qu’il vienne prendre la suite et quand je me suis approchée de lui il m’a demandé « quoi? » d’un air comme si je le dérangeais et qu’il avait mieux à faire 😅 La cuisine était excellente mais il serait bon de mettre moins de piquant pour respecter les goûts de chacun, ou le proposer à côté en le précisant.

We visited this restaurant twice. First time I had an octopus seviche - it wasn't like I expected, but was delicious 3.5 from 5. My husband has a burger, he said 4 from 5. Second time we had a beef swords- it was perfectly cooked 5 from 5 and last one was salmon- I can't remember the name of the dish, but it seemed to me very strange - raw salmon with mayonnaise -hmm, so- so, the vorst part is salmon cutting: all pieces have different forms and textures. Maybe 1.5 from 5. I won't order it again. Stuff was extremely friendly and helpful Perfect location to get lunch or dinner with exelent sea view. Definitely recommended !!!

If you are in Mallorca (no matter where) you have to come here. Try to do a reservation because it's always full. I will tell you why. First of all: The service. Very friendly, funny and attentive and always with a smile on their faces. My boyfriend and I spent 7 days in Portocolom and came here twice. We ate Starters (Calamari and El Baul Board) which were not too big for us two and very delicious. And then (for us the highlight) : The burger. We are great burger fans and ate a lot of them in our lives but we can say that this burger here is the best we've ever had. Congratulations to the cook. Also the salmon and desserts are very tasty, so we can really recommend this place for people who are looking for good food with a beautiful view on the beach and an amazing evening. Amazing food, atmosphere and friendly staff! This place combines a lot of things. It's by the beach so you have a view over the sea and the space outside where we sat was beautiful and cozy. The staff were fantastic, everyone that came to our table had a very positive and upbeat vibe, and they were fast with their service even though the place was packed. The food was delicious! We had the crispy calamari, the favourite salad with haloumi, the sirloin stake with garlic butter and last but not least a brownie with ice cream for dessert.
