Sa Cova dets Ases — Restaurant in Felanitx

We had a very poor experience here. Visited during a festival, the bar was busy but pleasant. I was served by a slightly mardy character who took my order, in mediocre Spanish, fine. I then watched him pour over-pours and miss-pours of lager into a glass and put it in front of me. He then poured a pretty small glass of white wine as part of the order too. I don't have the language skills to about argue this and didn't really fancy doing that either as I was on holiday, meant to be taking it easy. The lager was flat warm and he didn't even have the courtesy of sticking to one type of beer; It was literally a pint of dregs. The white wine was warm too. Exactly the kind of thing you don't want to happen on holiday as it puts a downer on your night. Everywhere else we have been in Porto Colom has been great, friendly service and nice product. This place was recommended to us by a waiter in another restaurant as we wanted to eat somewhere not aimed at guiris. However, after walking all the way there we were told quite rudely that there were no tables and we should've called...although it was nearly 9pm and there appeared to be many free tables both inside and outside. From looking at other reviews this appears to be the norm if you are not a local. So I guess if you want to try this, book in advance. Or go somewhere where they are a bit more polite...

Muy buenas, o muy malas en este caso. Nos sentamos en este local a tomar un café y una caña a las 18:45, en una de las varias mesas libres en la terraza. Ciertamente la camarera nos aviso que habían mesas reservadas para cenar, pero que no había ningún inconveniente en sentarnos a tomar algo un rato.

La estancia duró 15min como mucho, con el café aún medio lleno se nos solicitó levantarnos de la mesa para dar paso a otros clientes con reserva a las 7pm para cenar. ¿Quien cena a esta hora en España? Los guiris, amigos como no. A todo esto, aún habían al menos 4 mesas libres en la terraza, sin embargo la camarera no fue muy avispada y no tuvo la lucidez de dejarnos acabar las bebidas, en su lugar podría haberles dado paso a otra de las mesas.

Lo mejor de todo fueron las excusas del dueño, quien nos dio explicaciones para mantener las apariencias y transmitirnos tranquilidad y paz. Muchas gracias señor, hoy dormimos más tranquilos. Al parecer están saturados de trabajar porque llevan unas semanas sin parar, señores míos si ustedes están desbordados no sirvan a mas personas sino pueden prestarles el servicio prometido.

Nos fuimos contentos, seguro que repetiremos.
