We had the pleasure of visiting this newly opened Andalusian restaurant, where we we were shown a level of care and service way above the standards expected elsewhere in Fuengirola.
Maybe this is because the staff was well prepared and trained at the best restaurants in this area. We noticed how a waiter served a shared paella, artistically and with almost ritualistic precision. Every detail was cared for. Even when I spilled red wine all over the table and my t-shirt, they came storming out with a first-aid cleaning kit and later changed the table cloth.
For starters, they surprised us with a beetrrot gazpacho aparitivo to open our senses for what was to come. Also, being served a bottle of the local red while from the Mijas area, identical to the one we had at another local premium restaurant, which is an amazing whine - I say this, because the whine is not available for sale in stores.
My partner had beef carpaccio, and I had a grilled octopus arms in potato mousse. Both are classic dishes and tasted delicious.
As the main course, my partner selected the grilled Iberian pork slices while I had the grilled beef fillet. My partner was not crazy about the pork, as she found the dish too fat. However, I personally found the slices fantastic and tasteful. The same could be said about the fillet, with more meat than I could eat and served with delicious homemade potato chips and a creamy blue cheese sauce.
Both of us feeling full, we declined a desert but received a little surprise treat instead - a small bottle of a milky rice-pudding liquor without a particular name, but brewed with tequila and having an almost Bailey-kind of taste. It was very delicious and not like anything I had been served before.
We owe a special thanks to master waiter Ricardo, who attended all our needs and surprised us with stories about the food, wine, and liqour.
All in all, it was an amazing night, and we hope more places like this will turn up...
Read moreHighly recommend this restaurant for a great night out. The food is exceptional, the choice and quality of dishes are amazing.
Staff are excellent, they will help make recommendations, including choices of wine (if that's your thing..it is ours). Highly attentive (but not intrusive) relaxing atmosphere
Excellent value for money and by far the best restaurant experience in a wonderful setting
We enjoyed our evening so much...we did full 3 courses, wine and cocktails and plan to return before we leave Fuengirola.
Definitely a must whilst...
