This small unit, just up from the beach road, serves excellent Lebanese food. The menu is mainly a host of Tapas sized portions. The wine list is limited, but does have one Lebanese red and white- both being the most expensive options. The down side was a waiter who spoke very little English. I thought he'd understood a request for a spoon to serve one dish, but obviously not. Like some other places that aren't busy, it was difficult to get his attention when we wanted to pay. Getting up and walking to the bar finally achieved this. The dishes however, came very quickly and our decision to start by ordering 2, then as we finished those, 2 more. However, 3 arrived, one we definitely hadn't ordered arrived and all 3 did appear on the bill. We normally stick to Spanish cuisine when in Spain, but this, on a Sunday evening made a pleasant change. A 10% service charge was automatically added...
Read moreI´ve been in casa Beirut a few times. Good food without being super great. Nice grills and area. However last weekend I was not happy. I ordered Maloubi - Layers of spiced rice and fried aubergines topped with fillet lamb and served with tzatziki. The rice was not fantastic but also, there were no aubergines. So I was served a mountain of rice with some shredded lamb and the tzatziki (not sure what a lamb fillet is, then). I was planning to say something at the end but the man there (I guess the owner, the young waiter had left for the day) started arguing with the lady in the kitchen in front of everyone for a while. Like, shouting. That´s one thing I can´t stand when it comes to customer service. Will I be back? probably yes, to give it a chance, the mix grill is good. Maybe I just wasn´t lucky with my dish. Someone definitely forgot a few things. But it wasn´t a...
Read moreCasa Beirut in Fuengirola is a great spot for tasty Lebanese food with a comfortable atmosphere. The shish tawook was tender and well-marinated, bursting with flavor, while the fattoush was crisp, fresh, and honestly one of the best I’ve had. The hummus was creamy, smooth, and rich with chickpeas, perfect for dipping. The lamb tikka had a nice flavor but was a bit on the chewy side, and the rice was thin and not the basmati style that many Arabs are used to. I also wished they offered fresh homemade bread like you’d find in typical Lebanese restaurants — it would really elevate the experience. The location is convenient, the ambience is relaxed, and the staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Would definitely recommend to anyone craving authentic Lebanese flavors...
