Chiringuito Rivera Beach Club — Restaurant in Fuengirola

We had seafood paella. One of the best paella in the area. Not only is there is generous meat or seafood with the rice but it’s not as dry. Very savoury and the rice is done just right, not overcooked and mushy. It’s still juicy means that it hasn’t been sitting in the stove all morning but freshly made. We’ve been here several times over the year and the quality and taste has been the same. Bravo. You can see the staff are short as they’re only 3 working the entire restaurant during a busy lunch on a Sunday. One serves indoors tables, one outdoors tables and the bartender serves the drinks. The wait and attention can be annoying but the times we’re in, it’s like this everywhere.

The rice stews here are phenomenal. We've tried all their varieties and they are simply fresh, flavorful, with generous proportions. The other dishes are just as good and fresh. Espeto of sardines are a must. The grilled cod and sole are excellent.

Pro tip: always order 1 person less, if you want to finish it when ordering paellas pr rice stews. Say 4 of you want to eat it, order for 3. Try to avoid eating lunch at chiringuitos during summer. The service is slow and can get sloppy if you don't have the patience. Most people eat there are at the beach so they have all day to enjoy...

Nunca, en toda mi vida había recibido insultos en la calle desde dentro de la cocina de un restaurante. Un grupo grande hemos recibido insultos desde las ventanas de la cocina por parte de los cocineros de este establecimiento. Insultos como "Ir a trabajar en vez de jugar a Pokémon" "ahí, perdiendo el tiempo" "Lo que tendríais que hacer es estar trabajando en vez de ganduleando"... Entre otras lindeces. Porque si, jugábamos a Pokémon Go. Porque somos una Comunidad Oficial de Pokémon realizando por primera vez un evento en Fuengirola. Y si, estábamos frente a su chiringuito debatiendo donde ir a comer cuando fuimos insultados por sus empleados en cocina. Le informo al dueño del local, que si su personal está resentido con tener que trabajar los domingos mientras que otros estamos de descanso, se lo hagan mirar. Porque no nos parece normal recibir insultos desde dentro de la cocina de un restaurante cuando estamos simplemente disfrutando de nuestro evento. Y, desde luego, ninguno de nosotros ni nadie a quienes conozcamos van a recibir recomendaciones sobre su restaurante. Poquísima decencia y poquísima educación. Porque si insultan a quien pasa por su puerta, como pondrán a los que vayan a comer ahí... Es...
