Gastrobar del Mar — Restaurant in Fuengirola

When we first arrived we were greeted by a lovely waiter and seated wherever we wanted. Very patient waiter and was very nice. He got us drinks first and then asked us for our order. I got chicken Thai noodles and my friend got prawn Thai noodles. When we first got the noodles we really loved the taste but it was very al dente and we were not used to it like that so we asked if it could be made a bit softer. (Not in a Karen way!). They took it back into the kitchen and said that it was no problem and we were very grateful. Now this is where the problem started. When we got the food back, my friend said her prawn Thai noodles was burnt and there was no difference in the texture of the noodles and we just ate it like that because there was no point in sending it back again. However when I started eating, the noodles it was fantastic but then I bit into a piece of chicken and oh my goodness! It was sour. It tasted like it had gone off weeks ago! I convinced my friend to taste it and she agreed with me. We both couldn’t even swallow it and had to spit it out 😔. I ate some of my noodles as I was very hungry but I couldn’t even touch the chicken. I told the waiter that I didn’t want anything else and I just wanted to let them know so that for next time they wouldn’t give it to someone else, but he started laughing and saying ‘oh but you’ve eaten most of it’ and I replied by telling him that I had not eaten the chicken as that was the problem and not the taste of the noodles. I would say that the atmosphere was nice but the food was abysmal and I didn’t exactly appreciate the way I was spoken to when I told him about...

Terrible service! Tonight we arrived at 22.45 and got a seat by the soffa on the terrass witch the waitress (short haired guy with curls and mustach) told us was available. Before even ordering the people next to us was cheering, singing and talking/screaming loud and disturbing everyone around. We got the chance to seat tables with two other guys sitting at a 4 ppl table who where kind enough to change seats with us, which the waitress saw with his own eyes. While changing seats another family took our table and refused to leave it for us since they did not speak a word english. We kindly told the server to please help us with the issue but he only said there is nothing he can do and that we can go inside if we would like. Everyone saw what happened. Extremely extremely bad service from your staff who doesn't know anything about costumer service and did not want to bother to help. Will never ever go back here or recommend...

We have been here twice already and the place looks absolutely fantastic. It has an amazing atmosphere, much more unique compared to other spots on the promenade. The food, contrary to some Google reviews, is absolutely delicious. The burger is probably the best we have ever had. The paella was great, the beef croquettes were amazing, and the salad was also delicious. The prices are very reasonable, the service is super friendly, and everything is clean. The bathroom is spotless, nothing is out of place, and everything is handled quickly.
