During our recent visit to Trattoria Italiana La Toscana in Fuengirola, we were unfortunately met with a series of disappointments that made our dining experience far from enjoyable.
We ordered a gluten-free pizza and some cheesecakes for dessert, anticipating a pleasant meal. However, what should have been a straightforward order turned into a frustrating ordeal. Firstly, we had to wait an entire hour for our pizza to arrive. When it finally did, they brought us not just the gluten-free pizza we requested, but also an additional regular cheese pizza—which we had not ordered. To make matters worse, the restaurant didn’t bother to remove the menus from our table after we ordered, which made the dining area feel cluttered and unorganized.
Adding to our frustration, the plates we were given were dirty, which is simply unacceptable for any dining establishment. This, combined with the slow service, left us feeling quite disappointed.
The worst part of the evening came when we were left waiting for our cheesecakes. After two long hours, the staff informed us that they didn’t have any left. It was disappointing to be told this so late, especially after having already waited for so long. While they did offer us a complimentary dessert as an apology, which was a nice gesture, the entire experience felt like a significant waste of time.
Overall, while the complimentary dessert was appreciated, the disorganization, dirty plates, and long waiting times overshadowed any positive aspects of our visit. We left feeling frustrated and disappointed, which is not how anyone wants to feel after dining out. I hope the restaurant can address these issues and improve their service...
Read moreDisappointing experience with extremely slow service. Despite ordering a salami pizza and clearly providing the item number in English (as requested by staff due to their limited Spanish), I received a tuna pizza instead. Another member of our group ordered chicken arrabbiata, but it was made with processed sandwich chicken slices rather than proper chicken pieces. A kebab ordered with mushrooms came with raw, uncooked mushrooms, clearly not prepared. The draught San Miguel was flat and served in pint glasses filled to less than two-thirds with minimal head. All food arrived lukewarm after a wait of over an hour, and drinks took 40 minutes, despite the restaurant not being busy. The excuse given was that everything is “freshly made.” Overall, a very poor experience, especially given the 4/5-star reviews on TripAdvisor, which may reflect...
Read moreI was on holiday for a few days in Fungirola and I discovered this small but cozy Italian restaurant. I had as a starter carpaccio( Black Angus)very delicious. I also tried Gnudi Toscani with Ricotta and Spinach and a tomato cream which was very authentic. As a main course I ordered Milanese di vitella alla maniera classica, the taste brought me back to Italy. Excellent service from the staff. Very good experience will definitely recommend and go back. I am so delighted to see some good representation of Italian cuisine in Spain and I’m happy now that I have a place where to go whenever I miss the...
