Lotus Steak & Burger House — Restaurant in Fuengirola

We had a table booked for 8 people at 7pm and I arrived at 6.55pm to say that the rest were running a bit late and would be 10 mins. I was abruptly told if they weren't here in 10 mins my table would be given away. Fair enough but the restaurant was empty at the time so not sure who they would have given it to. Everyone arrived at 7.10pm and we ordered food. They brought 9 meals out when we had only ordered 8, asking who ordered the extra burger. That was their fault not ours. Everyone ordered their meal properly and had their dinner in front of them so not sure why they thought we would have asked an extra full meal. Staff weren't friendly at all and made us feel like we had offended them or something. Not sure but maybe they were just having an off night. Terrible!!! Really disappointed such a poor experience. Slow service and cold raw burgers served when only one other table in the restaurant. The burgers were sent back due to being cold and raw in centre. This is the image of the burger after being reheated and served for a second time. The burgers came back still cold and raw and now the chips were freezing too. Clearly very inexperienced cooks. When the food was served for a second time, the two chefs walked straight out through the restaurant to stand outside and smoke. After a week of amazing dining in Fuengirola, this was disgusting. No one checked on the food, we paid and left never to return. We were both ill for the next 36 hours. Need to smarten up your act Lotus. I would not write a bad review, simply not return but we were both so unwell I feel the need to advise on...

I came here with a small group of 3 people last week. We were so happy we stopped for dinner, after talking to our waiter he recommended the mixed grill platter for 3. All I can say is wow! I am usually fussy and can be easily disappointed with other people cooking my steak. All of the meat was cooked to perfection. It came with some veggies and a side of waffle potatos. I have never had waffle potatos and I have to say, I would pick a restaurant if they just had those on the menu! Amazing. We had the blue cheese sauce,pepper sauce and mushroom sauce. Yumyum !
