The Wessex Bar — Restaurant in Fuengirola

After reading the review below on here I was so shocked as we were sat next to this group on the outside terrace.

We as a table of 11 had a terrible meal! The steak although a reasonable price, you certainly get what you pay for as the cut was awful and badly cooked, service with a smile does not exist here and to top off the meal, one of us had a hair in our meal! This was sent back and bought straight back out with an extra hair!!! We were then accused for putting a hair in it! We were told that no chiefs have hair yet having used the loo there were 2 chiefs with hair, not in hats!! When we said can the meal be taken off the bill as that person will now not eat we were told that they weren’t going to bother making it again anyway!!! Absolutely no apology! Disgusting! If I could leave 0 stars I would!

Me & my husband and family (10 of us) were sat on the next table to this group and they seem to have not mentioned that this place went above and beyond to fit this group in for food and how rude they were to staff, the group was even given a discount off their food and an apology given for them not been happy with the service which seemed to be accepted at the time, (overheard the conversation) we have never encountered any problems and find the staff go above and beyond to cater for you, if it’s not on the menu then if they can they will cook it for you, we have fussy nieces and this is the only place they will have breakfast and staff are amazing with kids, the food has always tasted good and the staff do an amazing job, credit to the chefs for their fabulous food and Sharon and staff for trying to accommodate us every time we visited, the bar can get very busy at times and we have to wait to be served but that’s most bars to me when very busy and not having any room to eat and drinks speaks for itself how nice this bar is, been several times and will definitely visit again on our next visit as a perfect spot over the road from the beach Well done to...

Have been going to this part of Spain for 21 years and have always went to the wessex went today and ordered two coke after half an hour waiting and we had menus asked to order and was told someone was in front of me waited a further five minutes bring ignored so paid for coke and left I understand everything is cooked fresh but being ignored by a waitress is very off putting the young girl taking the drinks orders was lovely but the other waitress needs customer care skills as when the young girl told her we wre leaving I heard every word she said and it was not professional won't be back.and will inform all my family who regularly eat there sorry...
