Me and my family went here to watch the Euros semifinals. We pre-booked a table with a perfect view of the TV. Upon arrival, we discover our table had been switched, although the staff were very accommodating and very helpful. The manager instantly had an attitude and was practically telling us to leave straight away for not accepting the fact our table had been moved. The reason we got given for our table had been moved. (we could not see any TV from where we were sat) was because the people who took our table which we booked were regulars, my brother, then went on to complain as he was not happy as football is his Passion The manager, then tells my brother leave which he does no argument given, and then her son chases after my brother in his car With some of his friends and proceeded to punch my brother and start arguing with him when he left as soon as he was told to no disrespect and no argument given it was a lovely place when we visited on the Monday, it’s a shamed the disrespectful manager. when I told my mother that someone had chased my brother in a car, the manager then asked me to leave please do not come here, unless you want to get beat up for not being happy. PS also other girls and guys who worked there were lovely so respectful and kind. It’s a shame how poor management can fail the...

We’ve been coming to the area frequently over the past 17 years as we own a place here. We like to try new places to eat especially for a Sunday Roast, as let’s face it you can’t beat a good Sunday Roast! Monaghans claims to offer ‘The best roast on the coast’ however that definitely wasn’t my experience today! At €14.95 I was expecting great things. My husband had Roast Beef which to be fair was nice slices of beef and he enjoyed his. I ordered the lamb and was hoping for nice slices of lamb too. Unfortunately what I got was a cheap bit of lamb rolled around a large amount of stuffing. The quantity of lamb was seriously lacking, it was more stuffing then lamb, making this a very expensive plate of potatoes veg and stuffing indeed! If I’d been made aware when ordering that it was a rolled lamb and stuffing then I wouldn’t have ordered it as I don’t like stuffing! Two members of staff asked if we’d enjoyed our dinners and when I said I hadn’t enjoyed the lamb one said ‘oh sorry my colleague should have told you when you ordered’ and the other simply said ‘Thank you for your feedback!’ They didn’t seem to care at all. Very disappointed indeed! Such as shame, but we won’t be going back. There’s better, less expensive places to eat on the coast where customer satisfaction is higher...

Honest truth here is Pub is well presented and clean and food that was eaten as okay ,problem arose when are food arrived and one item out of many was not as advertised on the menu. With one bite it was clearly nothing like you would expect. When brought to the servers attention they took it away and we asked if it could be removed from the bill and another item ordered and added to the bill in its place which was more expensive, The manager came out and explained that we shouldnt of assumed that this item would be a certain way therefore he would not remove from the bill even though he had already taken it away and disposed of this item. No customer care or compromise he with manager, This partron was left having to way for something that went into the bin by management. Disgracefully carry on for a irish pub. Wouldnt go back...

Full disclosure...the head chef is an ex colleague so ..I expected the food to be good. And it is. Minestrone full of flavour unlike most of the minestrone you'll get...pil pil served tail on with bite and a hand made sourdough to dip for a twist...beef Sunday lunch....as good as it gets...hand made gravy and you know it....I'd eat it as soup .. hand made brownie with a spun sugar birds nest ..we shared it between three of us ..lush. ...for the money you won't go wrong. I've lived here 22 years and I own and run a large pan European catering business with my Mrs...I know the chef through work so ...I expect good....i can't say it's better than I expected because I expected a lot . Met my expectations. I recommend a visit and I'd be disappointed if anyone who visited based on my review...was disappointed....
