Boquerón de Plata — Restaurant in Gandia

If there was an option to give a minus star we would do so for this horrendous place. The staff are rude, the food is completely inedible. We were a party of eight and looking forward to a nice dining experience. We ordered our food and waited and waited and waited!!! Three of our party received their “food”…….. How can an escalope of chicken be made to look grey? The fries were soggy and looked like they had been made and left to sit for quite a while. We asked for salt and pepper, twice!! Unfortunately that was a task too great for the grumpy proprietor! Despite our best efforts to retrieve a rapidly deteriorating situation we were just ignored and so we decided to put an end to our misery. We called Mr Grumpy and offered to pay (overpay!) for our drinks. We left €50 on the table and told him that the food was inedible and thanked him but we were going to cancel the rest of our order. This resulted in utter mayhem!! The cook came out of the kitchen (Mrs Grumpy!) we assumed, spitting fire. The language she used to our retreating backs was shocking….. We all felt we had dodged a bullet!! The staff had a weary battle worn look about them, we assume this wasn’t the first time they had witnessed their boss loose his head. Thankfully it was not our first dining experience in Playa de Gandia. There are some truly spectacular restaurants with wonderful staff who are really pleasant and helpful, but not in this establishment. Stay as far from this disgusting...

Comida buena y Servicio por parte de los camareros bueno también pero muy mal ambiente el que generan los dueños y el “encargado” del local. Estuvimos comiendo y tratan muy mal a sus trabajadores, la dueña Rumana que está siempre dentro de la cocina pega unos gritos hacia fuera del local que dan poco gusto. Y el marido que suele estar fuera no se entera de nada. Fatal. Todo el rato con el fajo de billetes contándolos como si fuera Golum del señor de los anillos y muy desagradable con los clientes, los habla fatal, juzga por la apariencia y eso está muy feo aunque es la primera impresión y es importante este señor por llamarlo de alguna manera se mete con todo el mundo que le apetece y eso es horrible. Más que nada porque estás a la expectativa de clientes como nosotros que por eso y las demás cosas ya no volveremos. Una lástima pero hay mucha oferta gastronómica por la playa en el que puedes desayunar, almorzar, comer y cenar sin tener que traerte las palomitas de casa. Venimos a estar tranquilos no a un show desagradable que es lo que parece que dan. A parte el trato tan pésimo a los camareros nos hizo plantearnos no daros un duro más, caraduras!! Habría que ver los contratos de esas personas que tenéis trabajando y cuánto les pagáis porque ya se ve que sois unos impresentables. Pienso mandaros una inspección de empleo y agradecería que mediante el buzón de iTSS que es anónimo lo rellenaran los camareros que tan mal tratáis para que se os...

Crazy bad. The restaurant is basically expensive considering the food amount and quality you're getting. Very rude and unprofessional staff (most of them, at least—only the blue-eyed server was actually kind and polite). The dessert was OK. The mussels were oily, the chicken was dry and hard to swallow.
