We have researched restaurants in Garachico and the choice went to El Muelle Viejo. We have chosen Roasted Cod with Papas Arugadas and Vegetables and Meat Iberico. Fish was great, tender, with lots of vegetables and great potatoes - 5/5.
When it comes to the Meat Iberico, there was some disappointment as there was very little fries (there was more meat chunks than fries) and the salad was rather mediocre as consist only of peppers and onion. The meat itself was ok, on the fatty side but tasty.
What is more, tea could be served in bigger cups as there was literally 3 sips into the cup.
Overall, nice place to eat but with room for improvement.

The serving size of exactly the same dish I had the first time was 40% smaller, the service was bad and on top of that my dish came out completely cold. We are talking cold like it came straight out of a fridge. They took the dish back only to bring the same exact same plate out 5-10 minutes later but overcooked the second time. This at full charge with no apology at all. We will never go back again. 👎🏻 Also, we have now realized that another restaurant close by serve almost exactly the same dishes with better service...
Read moreThis is a nice restaurant, the food is tasty but some dishes are better than others. The starters were great, the bombom de morcilla was delicious and super creative. For mains we had secreto de cerdo and arroz negro - both were nice but a bit unbalanced eg. too much rice and not enough seafood. The dessert was way too heavy, we had a cake. We really liked our evening here, good wine, ambiance and service. Overall a good restaurant but with room for improvement, with some refining it can become...
