We were insanely glad we made the effort to find this place. We were staying in Oviedo and wanted to make a day trip to Gijón to see the water and have a good local seafood almuerzo. We speak minimal Spanish and they speak less English, but we managed fine and got what we wanted...good local seafood almuerzo!!! Started with bocarte, kind of a local sardine, lightly battered and fried to perfection. Once we got over the learning curve of eating them they were like potato chips - you can't stop. Then the fish! 1.2 kg of Rubiel (similar to red snapper that I am familiar with). Grilled, deboned and served with the best fried potatoes all in a beautiful butter and olive oil saute. We each got a filet and everything was gone except the head. And of course the cider! Nice and dry 5.9%abv served with a dispenser that injected shot sized doses into our glasses which, as we were instructed, to be downed in one swig. Probably very common in Guijon but new to us. Very chill experience. Very fun interaction with our server. Delicious food, great drinks. Don't pass up this off the mainstream local...

Una vergüenza pasamos a comer menu especial fin de semana mi marido y yo los dos menús pero los niños un filete con patatas cada uno todos agua de beber y uno de los pekes ni postre y me cobraron los cuatro menús Completos 13€ x persona Le dijimos q no nos parecía bien y la persona responsable no quiso salir a dar explicaciones. No volveré nunca más. Decepcionante. Estuve allí varias veces. Había un camarero alto que era un encanto, pero está última vez que fuimos ya no estaba. No me extraña, al jefe no lo debe aguantar ni en su casa. Vaya manera tenía de insultar y desprestigiar al camarero. La vez anterior que estuvimos nos fuimos impresionado llamaba gordo al camarero y le decía que se apartará que no valía para nada. Eso no se puede consentir. Como persona el dueño merece quedarse solo. Pero a todo gochin le llega...
