I was pleasantly surprised by this peaceful gem in the midst of chaotic Gijon. I had already been at a cafe earlier, but felt to move on. In all honesty struggling with some inner tension today, which is increased by the volume of chaos all around. I arrived to an empty place, which automatically made me slightly suspicious. I wasn't sure if my limited Spanish would be welcomed, it's always a hit and miss. I was welcomed by a lovely woman, who I assume is co-owner with her husband. I melted into the ambiance, slowly and difficultly. It took me forever to order, but she was patient. When I finally did order, she had suggested Iorder something else due to my food intolerance. At first I was put off, but she helped me and then I really just let her sort of take over. Her willingness and gentleness soothed my rough interior. And I was really pleased with my meal. She chose my tea, that paired well and I surmise her intuition expected I needed "Happy Balance" 😅. The pair of them were extremely kind and caring. And the tranquil atmosphere is unbeatable in the city. I am extremely happy to have spent my one day here having a heart filled meal here. Thank you!!! The atmosphere is an extension of the two hearts who created it. I thought about booking another day, just so I could spend...

I recently stumbled upon a hidden gem in the heart of Gijón. A quaint tea, yet modern cafe that instantly transported me back home. From the moment I stepped in, I was enveloped in a warm embrace of nostalgia and comfort. The ambiance exuded a serene charm, adorned with delicate teapots and the aroma of freshly brewed teas lingering in the air.

What truly stole my heart, however, was the brunch experience. Each dish was a masterpiece, carefully crafted with precision and love. From the beautiful toasts to the decadent baked, every bite was a symphony of flavors dancing on my palate. The attention to detail and quality of ingredients spoke volumes about the passion and dedication of the owners.

But what truly sets this cafe apart is the palpable love and care infused into every aspect of the business. From the warm smiles of the staff to the personalized touches scattered throughout the space, it's evident that this place is more than just a business – it's a labour of love.

If you're seeking a sanctuary where you can savor exquisite teas and indulge in a brunch that feels like a warm hug from home, look no further than this charming tea cafe. It's not just a culinary experience; it's a journey...

Okaeri nasai is the formal version of okaeri, which in Japanese means welcome home. When I arrived, I was welcomed and I felt at home.

Adding to the normal operation of a restaurant, the owners, from Spain and Italy, created an original format, a “by invitation only” special dinner for 8 people.

You will meet friendly people as curious as you trying to figure out about matching teas and vegetarian dishes through contrast and similitude as far taste and colors.

I was lucky to be referred by Mara from La Ermita de Deva Hotel in Deva/Gijon.

A few dishes were presented with their matching teas, each one with an explanation of what and why. All of them had a unique and delicate flavor causing excitement to your taste buds.

The quality of food and human spirit of the owners compels you to think about your next visit to this unusual great t-bar.

Yes, I would recommend anyone to...

Kindly received. The matcha ceremony was inviting and the tea itself had an authentic flavour and freshness. The owners take care of the quality of the tea, as well as of the recipients in which the tea is served - there’s a beautiful collection of ceramics, which can have a deeper meaning. The owners are friendly and they give you advice on everything related to the tea - from how to store to how to drink it. They’re true tea lovers, so if you’re one as well, make sure to visit this place.
