Cafè Savoy — Restaurant in Girona

So I stayed at the Peninsular Hotel and Savoy was their "local lunch" location. I was alone that day so I thought about trying the daily menu (since its closed at dinner, could only eat there during the day, wich is strange). I entered the restaurant and asked a place for 1 person; the lady who attended me looked around and seemed not to care really where I decided to seat, since there were so many free seats. I sat next to hotel inner exit, a table with room for 4, yes, but then again, I asked where could I seat before. Not 2 seconds later when I still had my bag on my hand, another lady comes by me, asks me: What was I doing there If I was to lunch and if I was alone. I said I was alone for lunch, and she points me to another table. So ok, I changed table. Then, I asked the menu with beef and potatoes. For a high-level restaurant such as Savoy, I was expecting better. The beef was dull and the fried potatoes a bit normal and nothing special on them. If not for the sauce, I would have not eaten so much. The dessert, was a small apple crumble that was not bad at all, but was just too tiny. Overall, I spent 14€ in a meal that did not compensate the money. For 10€, one can eat better elsewhere and still have a better service and employees talking to us with some...

Wasn't crowded, good food I ordered some type of ribs with potatoes I was disappointed that it only came with 3 wedges 😂 maybe its me but I would have loved more🥔 but ohh well! 🤷🏾The cake of the day was Sacher Torte. As someone who lived in Vienna and had the real deal it was dry AF and I think had cumin in it 🤢 I have mixed feelings but I would definitely eat...

Strolled past this little gem and saw the Menu Di Dia board outside. It looked great value at 17.50€ for 3 courses plus a drink!! There were a couple of extras for steak and cake but obvious on the menu. I had a delicious salad, sea bream & vegetables and carrot cake, plus a glass of wine. Service was friendly...
