Gelateria La Gioconda — Restaurant in Girona

I don’t know why they say the serving is small and that it is expensive.

In barcelona & rome , 1 scoop is already 3.5 euros, around 5.5 euros for 2 scoops and 7 euros for 3 scoops.

In here I ordered 2 scoops for only 4 euros. That’s way cheaper than in bcn & roma!

The serving size was great , although i wished the guy gave me more of the pistachio (IT WAS DELICIOUS). The cone is yum too, reminds me of barquillos/apas in Philippines.

Their flavours show how artisinal they are. I am not familiar to most of them but the guy tried his best to explain it to us.

My boyfriend is a big lover of ice cream so prior to our trip I jotted down some spots that had been recommended to visit. There are many ice cream spots in Girona, however, La Gioconda was our favourite, by far! The gelato melted in the mouth and the different flavours we tried were all delicious. They offer a small 1 euro cone which I often enjoyed, allowing a small taste of their yummy ice cream even if, like me, you overindulged during dinner (whoops). Also great idea for children.
