You don't go to Cafe football for churros and chocolate. You go there for the Spanish Cafeterria Experiance. Watch as overwhelmed waiters try to get the orders to the table in a press of agitated and poorly attended customers. It makes for a great pressure cooker of emotions. Observe as another table that arrived well after you gets your order first and what is left over trickles onto yours. Feel the love of the wait staff when you ask about your order as they dutifully shake their heads and say asap and then completely forget. The fourth time you ask where your order is you'll get the surprised look and "what!? They haven't brought it to you yet?" Answer. God forbid you stand up to stretch you legs while waiting for your order because you'll have the bill presented to you even if your still waiting. Let yourself be carried away on the wave and join in with others in voicing your discontent. This has to be one of the busiest cafeterías in Granada but it seems the owners can't afford to have a sufficiently trained nor educated wait staff. This place is a total disaster and is a must visit fir everyone in or out of the service industry so we can all be thankful to the true profesionals that are out there. As this place it the the pit of sorrows of...

My family and I are visiting Granada from San Francisco, CA and we just happened upon this gem of a restaurant. The tables are arranged outdoors in a cute square with misters that spray out a number of times a minute to keep you cool. Our server was Moha and he was extremely friendly and helped us choose some great desserts, which is what we started with since we didn’t know they served tapas. The churros con chocolate were divine! The chocolate was thick and churros were the best we’ve had yet. And OMG, the cheesecake really took me by surprise. I’m so accustomed to American cheesecake made from cream cheese but not these. No idea what they use but it’s light, airy and a milder flavor with the cheese they use. Perfection! (I had to take one to go)

Then we discovered they had tapas and had those second. The pizzas were crispy and balanced well and the highlight was the battered fish. I’ve never had a batter on fish (which reminded me of fried calamari in look only)taste so divine. What do they use I the batter to make it so spongy and crispy all at the same time?!? We had other food but I just don’t want to take up all the space I’d need to describe it. Just go and say hi to...

Order taker was extremely rude, I sat down to watch the football match and he said if I didn’t buy something to eat that he would kick me out of the restaurant and I couldn’t just watch the match even though there were very few people even there. After I very reluctantly bought a croissant with cheese, he pestered me in a very rude tone to sit down mocking me saying that I could watch the match now. I saw that the croissant looked like it had ham and asked him if it was ham (I hadn’t seen ham listed in title of this food and can’t eat it for religious reasons) and he looked as if me asking a simple question was too much for him to even fathom and gave a baffled and annoyed look that I would ask such a question. a worker next to him asked if I would like to switch it to turkey and I said that would be perfect. I believe he was rude to me because I am younger (19) he was kissing up to all the older men with smiles and jokes but treated me like I was some pest. I Don’t think I’ll come back to this place again and I’ll make sure to not recommend this place to others as I just felt overwhelmed and disrespected the entire time and after finishing my...

This place is really nice, especially sitting outside & enjoying a little more out of the café. However, here’s my breakdown among the following; • Food: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The quality could have been better because my bacon seemed to be a bit too cold • Attentive waiters: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The waiters are pretty well, however my waiter specifically wasn’t super attentive to people coming in & I waited almost 15 minutes before I finally got their attention. In addition, there were people that got served before me that came after I did 👎 • Cleanliness: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Tables were sanitized & the general area was almost perfect! Again, attention is required to better handle the area! In general, it was a good experience that would need a few corrections! I completely understand that there are times where the service may be super busy, so for those reading this, take my review in whatever format/benefit is best convenient for you! As an aside, please enjoy the local cafés! 💕😁

STAY AWAY IF YOU ARE A FOREIGNER! Very disappointed with the rude wait staffs last Monday around 11am, we tried to be patient but nobody even gave us menus! I had to steal a menu from their stack because we were really hungry. When the food arrived, I asked for “ketchup” from the older waiter (grey hair) and he told me “Español”. When I repeated it as “keh-chup” he understood it but never gave me ketchup. And that’s okay but then it was time for our bill, I kid you not when I tell you that the wait staffs were ignoring us and not making any eye contact at all. We felt very unwelcome and we’ve never had anyone so rude. It was my birthday breakfast too so imagine how disheartened I was! Overall, food was okay. The chocolate dip with the churros tasted powdery. Again, AVOID this place if you don’t speak Spanish!

Myself and my two daughters came across Cafe Futbol after having a bad experience in another cafe and we were amazed at not only the quality of the food but the fantastic customer service. Concha and the team of staff were so friendly and helpful. They made us feel so welcome and recommended some great dishes to us while telling us about the history of the cafe. We tried the infamous churros and they were absolutely delicious. We would highly recommend this place for breakfast lunch or dinner, especially the sweet treats they have. Concha was just fantastic she gave us so many recommendations of things to do around Grenada, she is a mindful of information! Thank you Concha and the team at Cafe Futbol! ❤️
