We arrived in Granada after a long drive and were very hungry so we decided to have an early dinner (by Spanish norms). We arrived at Divino a few minutes before 8PM and the waiter informed us that the chef had to leave in about 45 minuted because his wife just had their first child! We offered to just leave immediately so that he could get to his family but they really wanted to serve us as long as we could eat somewhat quickly. So glad we did! We all had (home made) pasta dishes and they were all fantastic at very reasonable prices. Really delicious and fresh food. Freshly made pastas and delicious sauces. The chef, Marco, came out and apologized for having to hurry us up. He was so nice, and even offered us a free tiramisu (which was also tremendously good). He and the waiter are both from Rome and have opened this restaurant fairly recently. Marco spent time training in New York Citiy and California. They are passionate about fine Italian food and it shows. The food at Divino was better than many of the restaurants we visited in Italy. DON'T HESITATE -- GO TO THIS RESTAURANT! Terrific food made and served by great people. We were really moved by the food and our interactions with the chef-owner and his waiter. One of those experiences that makes you feel really good about supporting a small business. We wish Marco great success and will come...
Read moreWe ate at Divino last night and had a most pleasant experience!! This restaurant has it all. Great location with outside seating along the river. A very tastefully done, intimate interior of bright Mediterranean white with black on red table coverings.
The food was excellent! My wife and I shared a roasted vegetable starter which was super fresh and grilled just right. Mary had Fettuccine with mushrooms, peas and ham. Scrumptious!! I had clams and mussels in marinara sauce. Again very fresh and excellent flavor. Soak the bread in the sauce!! Tiramisu desert to share, as good as any we’ve had in Italy. My decaf cappuccino was the best I’ve ever had and savored the flavors a nice while. Topped this wonderful meal off with a bit of Limoncello!! Perfect!
The waiter was gracious and attentive and helped choose the right white wine. The owner also visited the tables to ensure every was to satisfaction. His attention to the quality of the food and the overall experience certainly make this a place to be sure you visit when in Granada or even nearby. He even gave us some information on small special local towns to visit during our stay in this area!!
We will be returning to Divino again before we leave to try some other dishes and the experience more of the welcoming atmosphere!!

Read moreOur tour guide for the Alhambra recommended this restaurant and wow, it was such a hit! We walked in with a group of 9 not realizing we needed a reservation. Highly recommend calling ahead for a reservation for any party size just to make sure you can be seated! We got lucky that a large party cancelled and we were able to be seated. The waiters were so kind, helpful, and attentive. Our waiter, Marco, was actually the chef de cuisine (which we found out the next day) & he was personable, informative, and cheerful.
For starters, we had the polpette de sugo, the Burrata, the carpaccio, and the mozzarella divino (basically an Italian sushi roll). All were delicious! For meals, we each got our own but definitely should have shared because the portions are large and we were filling up quickly. The truffle & bolognese tortellini, lasagna, and gnocchi arabiatta were amazing.
Highly recommend if you want a break from Tapas (which we’ve had for 5 days straight) to make a trip here! Thank you Marco for a great last...
