If it was just for the food and service I wouldn't have written any review at all, as nothing impressed me. Prices are well adjusted to quality, the service distant but correct, the place is new and clean, although slightly uncomfortable. So why am I leaving a review then? Well, because I felt cheated on. It's supposed to be a healthy, sustainable, environmentally friendly café that only serves organic foods and drinks. Indeed they have biodegradable to go cups and straws, recycled paper napkins and such, but then again the menu includes fish, Coca Cola, Red Bull, desserts with oreo (palm oil is the third ingredient on the package) and dulce de leche (milk and beef being one of the most important factors contributing to global warming), and, worst of all, Nestle coffee (true, the Rainforest Allience certified beans of Nestle, but at the end of the day it's still bad tasting coffee from the company that in its greediness claims that access to drinking water for all is not a right, only to mention one scandal related to them). I cannot find anything sustainable about the deforestation of the rainforest and the destruction of the habitat of wild species and indigenous people in Sumatra and Brazil for the profit of big companies, about the dehydration of communities to produce bottled water and unhealthy sugary drinks packed in plastics, about depleting our oceans, about not paying people the right price for their work and produce or about child slavery. And all of these things I just mentioned are behind the brands and foods I mentioned above. I hope that they will change their menu (case in which I'll be happy to return) or stop claiming it's a sustainable...
Read moreNot recommended! Service stands out for being terrible. It took over 20 min for us to get our coffee and food. The order came out wrong twice. What is worrying, is I got a larger juice than the menu contained, and the waitress still took it back even after having told her that I had already drank from it. It makes me wonder if it was served to another customer regardless of this fact. Otherwise, I see no logical explanation of them wasting a beverage this way just to serve me a smaller one. Another waitress was super rude when she accidentally left us another dish at the table which wasn’t ours, just interrupting our breakfast to pick up the dish which was at the center of the table.
The food was decent. However nothing special. The avocado was so raw I couldn’t eat it. The only good thing was the...
Read moreWe found this apparently cute place on Google maps. We went there, ordered two bowls, a cappuccino and a tea. After paying (yes, in this place you are required to pay when ordering) we went to sit at one of the tables. Only then the waiter came to us and reminded us that the place was closing at 12.30: basically we had 15 minutes to eat all our food and leave. I have never had such a rushed breakfast in my entire life. I could not even finish my bowl!
I understand that it is the customer's duty to check the opening hours, but if the waiter thinks that it is necessary to remind the customer of this, she/he should do so before the customer pays, thus giving him/her the opportunity to decide whether to stay or have...
