Disappointing experience. My wife and I were so excited to eat at this place based on reviews and local recommendations. However, our dinner was not the best experience and for us let's just say this was "an Ok restaurant". Service was just ok as well. We felt they were a bit rushy trying to get your orders as quick as possible. The highlights of the night were the two appetizers: Ceviche de Corvina, with notes of mango and sweet potato, and the Mushroom Raviolis, with a nice warm cream on top. But that was it. Main course were not that good. My wife ordered a tuna steak which came overcooked. I know it was a thin piece and they leave the skin for additional taste, but it's hard to cook a thin piece of tuna without overdoing it. The skin did not add much flavor, rather became a nuisance in the dish. I'd recommend having thicker cuts and skip the skin. The sauce on the tuna was flavorful and paired with sugar snap peas, which gave the dish some texture. I ordered a "Solomillo", which is a thick sirloin. It was tender and cooked appropriately, but I got a thick piece of tendon in the middle, which can't be cut easily and shouldn't be part of a good quality cut. Au jus reduction was tasty and complemented the meat properly, though. Chef came out and greeted some guests, explained some of his cuisine and shared a bit of local honeycomb, which was a nice gesture.
However, in summary, these type of cuisine mistakes shouldn't be happening in a restaurant with Michelin reputation (and with high prices compared to other quality places we have been to), so that ruined the experience for us. Hope they...
Obviamente, volveremos! Estoy deseando probar la carta! Muchas gracias a...
Read moreI recently dined at Biosfera and had a great experience. The staff, particularly Mario, provided outstanding service. Despite language barriers, he went above and beyond to explain the menu in English, highlighting the locally sourced fresh produce and sharing the chef's inspirations. The food was simply delectable, with each dish offering well-balanced layers of flavor. The ceviche was incredible, and the slow-cooked lamb rib is a must-try. I can't wait to return and try the fish on my next visit. Highly...
