We visited the Manolo Restaurant as locals whom live at Ciudad Quesada, we are soon to relocate from the area hence why we visited this restaurant on Sunday 23/9/2018 evening to try it before leaving the area. We were met by a Russian or Rumanian waitress whom did not seem to care if she served us or not! However after unfortunately deciding to remain at the restaurant, as it was 9.50pm ( rather late to look for alternate dining) my partner ordered a âVeal EntrecĂŽte dishâ, I ordered âCarriado de Cerdoâ. A chicken salad dish & bread and alioli were ordered for entre dishes. These were good. Once the main dishes were placed on the table, my partners Veal EntrecĂŽte dish was not good quality, full of gristle & fat, not eatable. She as tried to eat this plate but eventually gave up and spoke with the Russian or Rumanian waitress, whom again showed no sign of displeasure or care whatsoever. So my partner left more than half of the meal on the plate. We asked for the bill and wanted to leave, but eventually after waiting an extended time have been given a bill for the full amount inc. my partners uneatable food, no apology no expression âof please have a free desert or drink on the houseâ. At this point, I have asked to speak to the manager - another non Spanish person, she stated she could only take off half the amount of the uneatable dish. I have persisted mainly because of the terrible service and attitude of wait staff whom seemed not to show any care whatsoever. Eventually the so called Manager as taken off the âŹ14.50 the price of the Veal EntrecĂŽte dish. No apologies whatsoever. We paid and left NEVER to RETURN! I have then noticed once at home again, they charged us for âsalmon saladâ rather than the lesser priced âchicken saladâ. Absolute Criminally managed Restaurant, we will never return. If we do return it will be only with a Molotov cocktail to hopefully burn the staff and place away, so other customers do not experience the same very...
Read moreThis is an addition to the original review. This time the food was very good, the Menu Del dia is now 12⏠which is very reasonable. ( Added some pictures) The issue this time was a matter of principle and poor service đ. We ordered the menu del dia, we were served a small salad between us which I am sure was meant for 1 person. We asked for vino tinto for both of us, the sever gave us half a glass đ· each then took the bottle away. Why should we be treated differently to all the Spanish people around us, in every case the bottle was left on the table, we don't want to drink the whole bottle but I do like a second glass, I asked for a second glass and was charged 2.80⏠( see picture of bill). The second complaint is about the service, no smile not a feeling of being welcome, we were asked if we would like a coffee, no offer of a dessert, I asked for a dessert the server said that he didn't speak English, I asked politely for cheese cake which he understood, and the cheese cake was excellent. I look forward to the comments of the owner, I live in Spain and love Spain I am not a tourist therefore if it's good I would return again.
We have visited this restaurant several times over the last 3 years. This time we were very disappointed, The Menu del dia is âŹ11.50 , on the left of the menu there are daily options, on the right are options which are available everyday. The wine comes with the meal, a large glass, bread, aliol and salad to start, we had fish soup and a plate of mixed meat. This was all Ok. We chose for the mains, pork scalup and garlic chicken. The pork was dry and bit tough, the chicken was not edible it had been so over cooked just solid lumps. The desert was Ok. We should have complained, but we decided to leave and never go back again. The question is why serve something that is obviously not to their...
