Almar Ibiza — Restaurant in Ibiza

I was quite disappointed to come here and found that they do not serve paella unless you order for two people. I ordered the grilled octopus and was good, although the portions are so small (just a few roasted veggies and some celery pure) and the place is quite overpriced (like everywhere in Ibiza). They charge you for everything, including the most expensive bottled water I’ve ever had. However, the best part of the menu was the dessert. They suggested me to try the “torrija” and I couldn’t asked for a better option. It is a sort of Spanish version of french toast with custard cream and perfectly warmed. Amazing. Definitely would come back only for it. The restaurant is in front of the beach and that is beautiful. Beautiful place to lay out on the beach all day and get food. The service was top tier and if you order the sangria or specials they put on a small show of them compiling the ingredients. It's honestly one of the best ways to spend your day on the beach. It is a little expensive but relative to the other beach restaurants it is priced reasonably. Food is good. Highly suggest you try here or Shu next door if you come to Ibiza. It's close to the port, a 15-20 min walk. Instead of exploring the expensive Ibiza day clubs here. 2 chairs + an umbrella is $45. And expect to spend about $60 on food and $40+ on drinks for two. But it's worth it especially since you can avoid the taxi fees from the port. Visited yesterday. The staff was very polite and found us a place in the spot for sunbeds and umbrella. However, apart from the price, we had to lunch at their restaurant. We agreed. Upon the order we discovered that we had to eat the lunch at the sumbeds in 40degrees and not in the restaurant. Other than that, you are forced to order only the overpriced main dishes, i wanted to order something extra not the main dishes but could not due to their policy. The restaurant on the other hand was totally empty.
