Disappointing Experience – Overpriced and Underwhelming Food
We visited this restaurant yesterday as a large group, and unfortunately, the experience was far from impressive. The menu offerings were uninspired and lacked any sense of creativity or excitement. I opted for a chicken salad, while my friends ordered burgers, but the entire ordering process quickly turned into a baffling exchange.
When the waiter arrived, he went out of his way to clarify that two of the four burgers listed on the menu consisted of nothing but a bun and a meat patty—no sauce, no vegetables—for an absurd price of 14 euros. He repeatedly asked my friend if he was absolutely sure about ordering it, instead recommending a more complete burger with cheese and tomatoes for 18 euros. The whole interaction was awkward and frankly made no sense. Why even list a plain bun and patty as a standalone dish if it’s so obviously a poor choice? It felt like an intentional ploy to upsell rather than a genuine attempt to provide options.
As for the food itself, my chicken salad, priced at 15.50 euros, was a complete letdown. It arrived without any dressing, and the ingredients tasted no better than what you’d find in a basic store-bought salad—except in a supermarket, you’d at least get a dressing packet.
We also ordered a bottle of Riesling, but not before struggling to even find the drinks menu, which, bafflingly, doesn’t exist in the restaurant. After searching online for several minutes, we finally located the wine list and placed our order. At least the wine was served correctly and at the right temperature—one of the few redeeming aspects of the evening.
The pizzas were underwhelming, with a soggy, overly moist center that made them difficult to eat. The pasta looked like a generic pre-made refrigerated dish, lacking any depth of flavor.
The only things saving this place from being a complete disaster are its decent interior design and passable service. But for the prices they charge, the food quality and overall experience are simply unacceptable. There are far better...
Read moreSo where do I begin .. the worst stale bread I have ever seen. Ordered more it never came so we ordered focaccia with croquettes (3 types) focaccia never came waiter forgot to order with chef. Croquettes came waiter plonked them on table no explanation which was which we had to dissect them to see what was what. Then asked for focaccia waiter said oops I forget to order then the pizza came bottom was black . I don’t go out to complain I go to have a nice experience and good food with a reasonable amount of service. I complained then I get an arrogant response. I do admit I’m an ex restauranteur & chef but still some of these requests are normal no ? The restaurant was not busy it was early around 7.15 pm so no excuses and they had many staff on duty. Just the owners daughter who spoke English . Risk it for the croquette they were tasty but avoid the place for extremely bad service arrogance and burnt pizza ( main chef...
Read moreI've been a customer for years. The food is good, but recently I had a terrible experience. I was poisoned by a pizza with spoiled eggplant. The pizza was good at the time, but immediately after eating it, I ran to the bathroom and vomited everything I had just eaten. Really rude service from a girl whose name I don't know. But since the beginning of the season, the lady doesn't speak, she only says "uumm aaahh ahh" and "ok!" I'd say absurd. A few days after the incident, I went by and asked to speak to the manager to explain what had happened and warn the team to be very careful with the food, because if it's no longer fresh, they should throw it away because I was really sick. The manager's reaction was totally COLD WITH A "Sorry...and here we go!" Too bad because the place is very nice, the service is really sad, and the food quality needs to be paid...
