Pizzeria Mamma Carmela — Restaurant in Ibiza

Mamma Carmela’s hands are full of magic!

After reading some of the reviews here on google about the restaurants in Ibiza, me and my girlfriend decided to dine in thrating and it was really close to our apartment. I went there with high expectations from these reviews and they did not disappoint.

We were greeted by Salvatore, Carmela’s son, who run together the small business. After sitting us on one of the tables, he came at us with the menus and a big smile on his face. We ordered the local beer San Miguel and a family size “Madoa”, a big pizza with mozzarella, tomato sauce, and chicken meat which was served in about 15 to 20 minutes. The pizza dough was a Napolitan style, the tomato sauce was fresh and the chicken meat did its best on it. It was one of the best pizzas that I’ve ever had in my life.

Fantastic pizza. We don’t normally select a restaurant by using google maps but we may start. This place was great. Mamma welcomed us, took our order and indicated sit anywhere. I then saw her take out proofed dough from a locker beneath the counter. I knew instantly it was homemade. The pizza arrived hot, full of cheese and flavorful sauce. It was the best meal we have had since coming to Ibiza and certainly the best value. Last night we ate paella,which was good, but nowhere near the quality of this meal. When paying the owners son wanted us to have a limoncello or cafe on him. We passed but what a nice gesture. When other restaurants offered it meant we payed. This lovely restaurant was the highlight of my time in Ibiza. The owners are some of the most friendly people I’ve met on the Island and the restaurant has a terrific story with all of the pizzas being handmade and prepared by the mother and son who moved to Ibiza 16+ years ago. A great community, friendly atmosphere, and delicious food. I would recommend that everyone who comes to Ibiza make it a priority to visit this pizzeria. Desde San Francisco....
