TeleVeg — Restaurant in Ibiza

We are vegans from London and flew in today to try this amazing neighbourhood restaurant, which is built on local produce, after reading all the amazing reviews and having heard so much about it from our vegan friends. We were very impressed with the high level of service and attention to detail with their eclectic and colourful vegan cuisine. Where do I start? The avocados tasted earthy and fresh and the tomatoes and basil reminded me of a fresh summer's evening in Talamanca. My partner and I have been vegans for 20 years and we have tasted vegan burgers from all around the world but the TeleVeg special burgers are the best by far! My partner took things further and went for their vegan chocolate pudding when he suddenly began to shake and chew his fingers begging for more, the owner then mysteriously turned up with more chocolate pudding which instantly sent my partner into food heaven. Ordered via Uber Eats, had to phone restaurant to see where delivery was, as instructed by Uber Eats. Understandable Uber Eats isn't the most common delivery app in Spain, but if you're on it, it should be better, not have to pay international calling rates to see where an order is (more of an Uber Eats issue than the resturant, the resturant were really lovely on the phone and well informed).

Only negatives are there's no vegan listed burgers on the Uber Eats website, which made it hard to order (got my hotel barrister to put a note in Spanish), and by the time the meal arrived the sweet potato fries and onion rings were soggy.

We are surprised by all the very good reviews because we were a bit shocked: there is a guy sleeping on a mattress behind the counter at the entrance. Overall it's not clean. The food looked totally different than on the photos and was not fresh. All the vegetables were from cans and not fresh. While we were waiting one of the employees went grocery shopping so they could actually cook the dish we ordered. We waited about 1 hour to get all the food we ordered even though we were the only guests. All in all a bad experience....
