Cafe Ciutat 1900 — Restaurant in Inca

Stopped by Inca for the market and stumbled across this cafe in the big square. We were pleasant surprised by the food we ordered despite the reviews we had read.

Food: Sobrasada sándwich 5/5: This was the best sobrasada sandwich we had in Mallorca. It was a tad bit spicy and the waiter was kind enough to bring a bottle of honey for us to add to our liking.

Drinks: Café con leche: 1/5 I didn’t know that you can make a coffee taste so bad especially in Europe. The coffee wasn’t fresh or it was burnt and mixed together with a whole lot of water and milk. I don’t recommend it.

Fresh orange juice: 5/5 Skip out on coffee and go straight for the orange juice. Sweet, tangy, perfect.

Service: 5/5 The waiters were attentive and kind. We were lucky not to come across any rude staff.

Arrived here on a local holiday, celebration of two saints. The waiter clearly doesn't like tourists. Asking him to order a second drink is difficult as he keeps ignoring us. Eventually he arrives at our table asking us to pay (and leave), when we inisist on ordering a second drink he sighs deeply... Atmosphere was ok due to the celebrations, certainly not because of...

Fui esta mañana con mi sobrino y pedimos medio bocadillo. Me dijo el camarero que nos atendió, que no hacían medios bocadillos, porque no le sacaban un buen margen. Y no sólo no tiene razón, ya que el precio del medio bocadillo, suele ser más de la mitad del precio del bocadillo entero; además en otra ocasión, nos dieron medios bocatas sin problema. Creo que nos vieron cara de gente de afuera y, preferían que pidiéramos de la carta para aumentar el ticket medio. Pedimos croquetas de pollo y vinieron 5 unidades pequeñas, a 8€ que con las bebidas, nos cobraron 13€ más 1 € que se autocobró para su bote, porque me devolvió 6€ de un billete de 20€. Qué pena de local, en pleno centro de Inca! No volveré a ir ni a tomar una caña....lo malo es que en Inca, ya cada vez nos queda menos locales que atiendan bien a sus clientes. No ir a este local!
