I recently visited ÖKEN Bowls & Sushi, and it’s truly a unique and unforgettable experience in Fuerteventura! 🏝️

Food & Presentation: The food is exceptionally well-prepared and presented, with a menu that’s both healthy and visually stunning. It’s a perfect fusion of Japanese cuisine and European pastry when it comes to desserts. The flavors are rich and creative, and I especially enjoyed their fancy drinks like matcha lattes and golden milk—both absolutely delicious! 🍣🍵 My only small note is that the gyoza were a bit undercooked for my taste, but everything else was flawless and bursting with flavor.

Service: The staff here are warm, kind, and attentive. Their friendly approach creates an atmosphere that’s both relaxed and inviting. 😊

Location & Ambiance: The location is incredible—just off the main road, with beautiful sun exposure and a stylish, cozy design. While there are plenty of tables available, a select few are in a cozy area protected from the wind, making it perfect for those breezy Fuerteventura days. The vibe here feels very alternative and Bali-inspired, with a laid-back yet chic ambiance that makes it stand out. 🌞🍃

We ordered sushi and two pokes (one for kids and one regular), and honestly, it was a big disappointment.

The kids’ poke, which costs €9, was basically a pile of sticky sushi rice with almost nothing else. It came with a few tiny fish nuggets and a bit of canned chocho—dry, tasteless, and lacking any appeal. Very poor and not worth the price.

The regular poke, with four shrimp and a few extra ingredients, wasn’t much better. Bland, lacking freshness, and missing the spark you expect from a proper poke.

That said, the ambience is perfect and the staff is excellent—they’re constantly attentive and genuinely care about your experience. It’s a real shame the dishes don’t live up to the rest: they lack flavor, creativity, and heart.

We had an absolutely amazing experience at Öken bowl & sushi! From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by the friendly atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot for families – our kids were entertained and happy the entire time, which made it so relaxing for us.

The food is simply excellent – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can tell a lot of thought and care goes into every dish. The vibe of the place is fantastic too – stylish yet cozy, with an environment that makes you want to linger for hours.
