Boccas Bar Restaurante Mediterráneo – La Cala Villajoyosa — Restaurant in la Vila Joiosa / Villajoyosa

Somebody once told me that if you can't say nice things to someone,then it's better to say nothing?.. However there are exceptions...In the last 15 years my wife and children have been coming to La Cala and we have .managed to find the exception, "Boccas Bar" this has to be worst bar and most unfriendly restaurants in le Cala.

The staff are just unhappy they don't smile ,they greet you with a look of ?? and just generally ignore you.. believe me when I say that the service is just terrible (this is me being polite).

OUR EXPERIENCE..We decided to try and eat in a typical Spanish run bar/restaurant with mainly Spanish inside (when in Spain eh). My wife and I ordered a sandwich and a cocktails....from the grumpiest waitress ever ..The sandwich was forgotten and the cocktail arrived an hour later .. whilst waiting for our very complicated order,grumpy waiter no 2 started to clear the plates infront of us and eventually managed to spill the leftovers of the previous unhappy customers all over my wife's dress?.. Briefly we kindly asked for the bill and was shocked to find out that the prices had suffered an automatic inflation rise? to those clearly noted clearly on the menu...we asked for the manager( in Spanish) in an attempt to explain the mistake, who then decided to insult us with some wonderful local Spanish phrases...nice ? ...we eventually threatened to call the local police..which bizarrely seemed to calm him down and we paid the price marked on the menu (without tip of course).

I should add that my wife is Spanish and I am Irish..both living in France...

My advice..enjoy this beautiful little part of Spain as we have for the last 15 years, and try to avoid this horrible, terrible bar...there are others that are just happy to see you and add to your well deserved holiday...

Hemos preguntado al Camarero y nos ha respondido con un agradable buenos días, en que le puedo ayudar? (Preguntaba si tenían cerveza sin alcohol 0.0 de barril) al no tener, me ofreció tercio 0.0 tostada ( muy buena, por cierto). Sin pedirlo, nos trajo una señora tapa para dos, muy bien elaborada y presentada, así como con un sabor exquisito, muy fresquita. Me levante y le comenté a su compañera (la otra camarera), que si por favor, podría ponerle a mi acompañante otra tapa ya que era alérgica al pimiento, haciéndome cargo del sobre coste de la misma. Nos pidió disculpas por haberla puesto con pimiento, (y la dije que de ninguna manera, que no dijimos nada de su alergia, y que había sido una cortesía de ustedes el traernos la tapa, por lo que le estábamos muy agradecidos). Al poco vino a la mesa con una tapa que no estaba en su menú de las mismas, elaborada para que pudiese comer, muy bien presentada y con un sabor muy bueno, lo que la agradecimos de forma infinita. Es por ello, que recomiendo este lugar, primero por su calidad humana en el servicio de camareros, atentos, amables, sonrientes y muy educados, en segundo lugar porque tanto la zona de barra como la mesas y terrazas estaban muy limpias e invitaba ya de por si a entrar y para concluir porque el entorno del local era muy agradable donde podías tomarte la consumición tranquilamente y conversar. Vayan y compruébenlo por ustedes mismos. NO SE ARREPENTIRÁN.

We have asked the waiter and he has answered us with a pleasant good morning, in that I can help him? (I asked if they had beer without alcohol 0.0 of barrel) not having, offered me third 0.0 toast ( very good, by the way). Without asking, we brought a lady lid for two, very well elaborated and presented, as well as with an exquisite flavor, very fresh. I got up and told his partner (the other waitress), that if please, I could put my companion another cap since I was allergic to pepper, taking care of the envelope cost of it. He apologized for having put it with pepper, (and I told her in no way, that we didn’t say anything about her allergy, and that it had been a courtesy for you to bring us the lid, so we were very grateful). Soon she came to the table with a lid that was not on her menu, prepared so she could eat, very well presented and with a very good flavor, which we thanked her infinitely. That is why I recommend this place, first for its human quality in the service of waiters, attentive, friendly, smiling and very polite, secondly because both the bar area and the tables and terraces were very clean and already invited to enter and to conclude because the environment of the local was very pleasant where you could have a drink quietly and talk. Go and see for yourselves. YOU...

Yo ya hice pedidos anteriores y el primero, solo el primero fue maravilloso... pedi el sweet brunch y vino todo estupendo no faltaba nada y ademas generoso, todo perfecto.

Pues bien, este es el cuarto pedido que hago y desde el segundo todo mal... os doy la descripcion del SWEET BRUNCH en la APP GLOVO: tortitas (solo viene 1), el gofre bien mojadito de zumo de naranja (cuando en el primer pedido venia el zumo en bote y eso se agradece, que si, que el zumo de naranja exprimido es mejor, pero no teneis envases para mandarlo y se desparrama por todos lados), croisant INEXISTENTE (ya van 3 veces), yogur con cereales (antes venian dos preparados, ahora viene solo 1), fruta INEXISTENTE, la nutella INEXISTENTE y ya por ultimo ya mencionado, el zumo de naranja y el cafe te viene en la comida ya tu sabes, para no bebertelo mejor mezclado, asi lo masticas.

Lo mejor? llamas al numero que sale aqui y no te coge el telefono nunca nadie, en definitiva, no os preocupeis, no sere yo quien os moleste mas.

ojo! no pido lujos, simplemente he pedido un brunch de 18€ y no he recibido por tercera vez consecutiva lo que he...
