This is my honest review of Magic Tropical Splash for a family of 5, 2 adults 3 children, 1 child is a wheelchair user. Where do I start? Positive's........the Sun, the weather was beautiful whilst we were out there. Bar 56 which is across the road from the hotel, this is a must visit, very welcoming, friendly people and the food there is great! The beach which after coming out the hotel and turning right is a 5/10 minute walk, this was was a really lovely beach and the little bars and ice cream shops were brilliant, along with a really quirky shop called Ale-hop (the one with the cow outside) which sells all sorts of fun gadgets, toys and hats ect. If your reading this and wanting a positive about the hotel..........your going to be disappointed. My advice to anyone thinking of booking this place, DON’T! Turn around and book another hotel or try the Magic Robin Hood Hotel as we went there for the medieval night and it seemed alot better......can't confirm this though. There are alot of cons to talk about and I won't be be able to go into detail as it will take alot of my time but here are a few....... FOOD, yes it is very repetitive as are all all inclusive hotels but the food is shocking! Terrible, it either all tastes the same or it's not cooked properly! Please check all meats as I was often served medium rare chicken and sausages that oinked at me as I put them on the plate. This was like this every meal time and we often found ourselves eating at the snack bar rather than the main restaurant and even then it was cakes that were pre packed or paella with under cooked crunchy rice! Don't think that if you go ultra inclusive like we did and book the Italian restaurant that this will be any better, it's all tasteless and rubbish to be honest. The Ultra all inclusive is not worth it at all! They refill your fridge..........great! The pizza you can order as a part of this is shocking! Like eating cardboard, the days out like the zoo you can book and the medieval show you can go to as a part of the ulta deal is ok but it just manages to show you how shocking Magical Tropical Splash is. The LIFTS are a joke! Not enough, too small and long waiting times! They also don't have sensors on them so just they close no matter if your standing in the way or not, I got caught a couple of times and so did my son! We managed to get a wheelchair and 1 adult in a lift and that was it. There is no RAMP down to the buffet restaurant so again had to wait for a lift to go down to floor -1 which at meal times could be a long long wait. The GAMES ROOM you get to book as part of the ultra deal is well.........rubbish, out of the 15 games consoles available 10 of them were updating and then the ones thats did work didn't have the game on show in the case. The POOL is very slippery as you try to walk into it, I fell over twice and saw a number of people do the same, which was funny but not good. The ROOMS.........something out of the 80's, really dated! I see alot of people commenting how spacious they are.......I personally don't think they are! No sofa or anything just a couple of chairs on a balcony, leaking taps, flush not working, poor quality! My daughter did get SICK, couldn't tell you what from but we did go past alot of sick on the floor and people being sick whilst staying there. We had some earrings and my daughters Air pods STOLEN from our room! ENTERTAINMENT......this is not a hotel you want to go to for this! Absolutely no way should they offer an entertainment programme! It's the same every night dressed up in a different way, bad singers, bad dancers and a woman the spins round on a hoop.......every night, the kids mini disco is the same, same songs same dance.......every......single.....night. We went for 10 days and it was 10 days too much. I'm really sorry for the people that like this hotel and go every year, this is my personal opinion and I dont mean to offend.

Update- PLEASE CHECK TRIP ADVISOR THIS IS STILL ON GOING FROM MAY. ALSO REP LOUISA FROM JET2 WROTE A FAKE REVIEW ON HERE. YOUR A DISCRACE LOUISA- I have attached her review and know her full name from emailing her copies of a doctors note. Please do n your family here D&V ongoing a month plus in this hotel May 2024 Please do not go to this hotel untill they sort out the d&v issue. They need to close and deep clean. They will tell you its a seasonal bug... kids pass on germs.. I have been allover the place all inclusive and never come across anything like this in my life. This has been traumatising as a family. Only positive was the help of Louisa and Danielle and Natalia when my daughter started with it they was helpful and kind. I also do not think it is the food... they never had soap in the pool toilets which is going to cause alot of germs spreading. I seen cleaners mopping the floor then putting the filthy water down the sink in the toilets and not cleaning it. Felt like there was a strong perfume cleaning smell covering up the vomit smell. We arrived on sunday the 5th of May. While around the pool we spoke to a family that told us 5 out of 6 had a bug and she knew of more. We thought we would he lucky however Tuesday my daughter started vomiting then diarrhea followed she was being sick for 24 hours and still has the runs now and its the 12th May and it is green. I am taking her to the doctor for tests tomorrow. Which I will be using to take this hotel and jet 2 to court. As we thought it couldn't get any worse we was due to leave sat 11th May but my husband started with D&V so bad he couldn't leave the bathroom. I went for help at the Reception they do not care. The reps wasn't in. They was just telling me I need to pay for the extra night or leave. I had to ring jet 2 change the flights which cost £290 then. Then my daughter who is 6 and poorly was crying scared with how rude reception thinking we was going to get kicked out. With her being so scared I said I would pay which they charged me over 280 euros for 1 night without all inclusive how is that price reasonable I'm disgusted at the end of a holiday too. We got a doctor to the room which we had to pay 150 euros for jet 2 said if they can see the report they will pay for it. Waiting for the refund from them to come. Then we had to pay 50 for medication that was prescribed. We couldn't change our airport transfer so this cost us 80 euros in a taxi today. With all this I witnessed people being sick myself and people telling me they was sick. The sickness was round the pool on the stairs in the dinning hall. Do not let them lie to you about this. I just want to warn families not to come here as I don't think I will get over it. I was in absolute tears asking for help and they don't care they just say pay and try claim it back. What if we didn't have the funds after a holiday. My daughter has lost so much weight from this holiday I'm heartbroken. I wouldn't take the risk of this as it seems to be getting worse. If you want to ask anymore questions feel free to message me. I have alot of proof and pictures witnesses. Screenshots of other complaints of the same matter Please see below there reply on trip advisor. Saying hotel isn't at fault when they are allowing this to continue. And I wasn't appreciating you demanding money off me when no rep was in untill 930. I also said above as in the trip advisor positive was louisa and Danielle the reps and Natalia one of the managers. I went to see the rep louisa 5x for toilet roll and water for the room ended up louisa getting me this from a cleaner so please don't try tell me your staff was at my disposal. MAGICAL TROPICAL SPLASH STOP LYING AND WRITING THE SAME THINGS. YOU ARE NOTHING BUT MONEY GRABBERS YOU DONT CARE ABOUT GUESTS WELL BEING OR YOU WOULD CLOSE TO DEEP CLEAN TO STOP IT SPREADING

Rooms: Rooms are clean and adequate. We had a balcony with a glass balustrade. There was a table and three chairs and a pull out airer for clothes. Kitchenette includes microwave, hob, sink under counter fridge. Our room had a double bed and a sofabed and two singles in a separate room. Bathroom was a bit of a squeeze and could do with some natural light or more lighting. TV had 1 English Chanel!!! Considering they cater for English guests this should be upgraded?! TV in the single room didn't work because of signal!! Food: All inclusive Spanish buffet food is plentiful. They have themed nights which also caters for food intolerances and allergies. Just ask the chef or staff and they are able to guide you. They had Pizza's, chicken nuggets, burgers, chips, roast pork and beef, gravy etc. Alcohol: All inclusive alcohol includes known brands Disaronno, Malibu, Jack Daniels etc. Beer Estrella Carlsberg etc. Entertainment: Kids Club according to my 6 year old is good, face painting, magician demonstration, movie night. She was kept busy. Evening entertainment was good! Parot show, magician, Lizard and snake show, dancers etc. Braid lady by the pool: Half braid of hair €25 Lasted a week and the elastic bands snapped. Pools: Little pirate ship for toddlers: This was a godsend for our little three year old, he was in and out of this area all day and up and down the slides. Bigger Pirate ship: 4 slides and a big tipping water bucket. My 6 year old loved this and was up and down all day. Main pool: 🚫 Not allowed inflatables in the main pool 🚫 Pools are freshwater and cold during low season but for those of you who do Bluetits will have no issues, it's good for the mental health!! Bigger slides: There are plenty of thrill seaking water slides in another part of the hotel including a single or double U shape inflatable water slide which had me and the teenager in laughter. There's also racer mat slides and other thrill seekers water slides. Slides and kids pirate ships are more than adequate to keep the kids and big kids entertained! Basement: Games room with slot machines. There is a games room with XBox and PlayStation etc including VR headsets. My teenager is a regular player back home and didn't think that the facilities were that good. He thought they were more towards the 6+ above. Bar with evening entertainment local singer's. There is a washing machine and dryer for €4 each in the basement. Beach is 10 minutes walk and it's beautiful. Negative points: Lifts breakdown!! But I have been assured that this issue will be resolved in September when all the lifts will be replaced and updated. The sale of inflatables in the shop! Why sell inflatables when they are not allowed in the main pools?! They are only allowed in the toddler pirate ship and fenced off area of the main pool, so it's really not worth investing in one!!

I seriously do not know where to start , i am still at this hotel I have been here 4 days got 3 days left & I'm on here at 21 : 35 pm back in my room writing a review... it is horrendously a terrible hotel the worst hotel I have ever been in can't wait untill I get home 3 days can't come fast enough if I'm honest....

Entertainment: if you can not understand Spanish then your .... everything in this hotel is provided for Spanish people it is the same equivalent to pontins they false advertise what's on and it's thier own staff that does the shows its horrendously bad loads of people have got up and left and went out of the hotel to pubs outside the complex including tonight's guests... I have come to my room can not take it anymore.

Staff : reception staff 4 out of 6 and very ignorant do not want to help any families that are Scottish, Welsh, Irish, English I have witnessed this with my own eyes they also put Spanish people 1st .. male reception staff in his 50s bald head glasses refused to help u.k families told them to ask jet 2 staff..

Security guard daytime : ( baldy head wears sunglasses thinks he is gods gift ) its there job to help all guest I have seen him on several occasions refuse to help families from the u.k I have also seen him bend over backwards for Spanish families lifting prams up and down stairs the man Is a joke.

Food; the food is good can not complain plenty of choice and pretty good to be honest , plenty of pop, juices, tea, coffee, wine , beer ..

Lift to rooms ; there is 26 floors in 4 buildings each building has 4 lifts , 1 has not been in use since we have been here the other 3 hahaha you can hardly get a lift to your floor we have walked up the stairs most days we have been here , we has seen a woman with a disabled girl in a wheelchair about 11 years old stranded on the 8th floor for several hours we have spoke to a woman who had to walk upto the 17th floor carrying a suitcase where she could not get a lift because the all lifts have been broken , if my wife did not inform not reception staff because they did not want to know she Informed jet 2 lady who brought it to the managers attention it would of not been fixed .

Pirate tavern: pub inside hotel serves raw food 2 families on the same day walked out behind us for same reason.

Games room ; v.r is absolutely brilliant very small but good

Swimming pool : yes good for children and adults who do not want to do anything all holiday apart from drinking alcohol and lying down ,Slides are OK at back of hotel

Exterior of hotel needs all re painted Interior of hotel needs all painted when you are able to catch a lift they are horrible inside

Reception lobby; the seating area they provide is all grimey the cushions are always wet and damp ( people coming in from pool area ) you sit on them in fresh cloths your gaurnteed you have to go back to your room to change , they are police here arresting guest most nights ( Spanish gypsies) and Spanish guests yes hard to believe not English guests which make a change lol ..

I could go on and on for a couple more hours , overall this is a Spanish pontius if not worse I feel sick as a dog for wasting my hard earned money to Come to a place like this I am writing this review so other people do not waste there money if you want to ignore this review I don't really care because I don't know you and it does not bother me if you ignore the review and come anyway I wish you all the best , if you come I really & truly hope you have a better experience than me and my family & all the families who are her now who feel the same way as me... like I said do not expect to get any help from most of the Spanish staff who work here because they just don't care and that is the TRUTH, if you are Spanish you will get royal treatment which I have seen 1st hand and experienced... GOOD LUCK with your stay here DO NOT COMPLAIN YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED IN ADVANCE and that is because its is that bad here i do not want people like me and other families who have experienced the same extremely...

An honest review, worth reading: After reading a variety of good and bad reviews, I started my 5 day holiday with an open mind. First impression wasn't amazing - the queue to check in was fairly long (however this is expected with such a big amount of guests) and we had to wait 2 hours for our room, but we asked 30mins before told it would be ready if we could go in and we were told we could.

Room was amazing - we stayed in tower 1 floor 22 (staff were very helpful when it came to finding the lifts for our tower) and the views from our room and hallway were beautiful. We stayed in a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, 1 kitchen and 1 living room apartment and it was great, the only thing i can mention is a couple of stains on the pillow sheet. It was cleaned daily and sheets were changed every 2-3 days.

I would like to mention Louisa, the jet2 lady who was incredibly friendly and helpful. She spoke very good spanish AND English which was so helpful when it came to booking taxis. She also helped us 4 kids (age range 12-16) when it came to finding things eg the food trucks, and our 2 elderly grandparents to gain an understanding of how everything works. Without her I think our holiday would be very different. I would also like to mention Carmen who was so helpful and friendly when I got injured outside of the hotel and came back unable to walk. She too spoke amazing English and Spanish, and took care of calling the insurance company, calling us a taxi to the hospital and helping my grandparents (who don't speak good English let alone Spanish) understand what documents I needed. She also made sure I was ok and not in too much pain.

Food: There wasn't a great selection of vegetarian food, especially with picky eaters as we found we ate chips and bread pretty much every day for lunch and dinner. 2 of my family did eat meat but not a lot due to the multiple reviews warning us about it. Breakfast was great and very nice though. I will say we were slightly disappointed when finding we were limited to the snack bar (which didn't have much vegetarian hot food except chips and fruit, bar and main Caribbean buffet as we were told by reception it was required to have All Inclusive Plus to enter the other restaurants eg the Italian. There were 2 bars, one of which we went to daily and it was great. They served soft drinks, slushies, chips and nachos which were all great for us kids, and a range of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, all what seemed to be free of charge. The 2 food trucks were also great, and thanks to Louisa who helped us find them. One served ice cream in cups and cones (chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, caramel which was amazing, lemon, pistachio and natas) and the other served waffles, pancakes, donuts, and churros with toppings. The lady operating them was very friendly.

Facilities: Pool was honestly great and very big, however very busy and hard to find an empty deckchair. Felt very safe with multiple lifeguards, and there were daily activities eg water dancing thing, and a competition of who could run the furthest on a mat on the water. Waterpark was also great, there was a smaller one aimed for smaller children which we didnt visit but the main one was great, with i think 6 waterslides, all of which were very fun and thrilling. There were also multiple activities every day around the hotel which ranged from foam parties to rifle shooting. There is a timetable of when these happen, and many thanks to Louisa again who helped us find exactly where these were located. Games room and arcade - one required money for all the games so we couldn't play on these and the games room seemed like it needed All Inclusive Plus, however they seemed great. WiFi didn't work in the room only in the hallway and main hotel area, although we were on the top floor so expected.

Staff were great, most spoke English and Spanish, and if they didn't speak your language they put in best efforts to find someone who did. Overall a lovely holiday, especially for young...

Honest Review of this hotel, covering everything, hope this helps.. I am writing this as never seen any reviews like this before I had arrived and wished I had. Please bare in mind aswell I am far from fussy and have never wrote a negative review in my life! Haha!

Went away as a group of 13 people... 4 adults and 9 children for one week. Children aged 4-13.

Food - • Has lots of variety and spaced out in a large dining hall.. As the week has gone on, we found issues... • One main thing was a stone found in the lasagna ! Yes, a stone it was confirmed by the chef, and he couldn't say why this was. • When food is replaced, this is added to the old food dish, and old food is pushed to the front of the tray and new to the back. • Dinner Hall gets very busy and ques for food. • Staff in dinner hall clear plates very fast, even had few occasions where plate cleared before food was finished.

SICKNESS - I don't know if this is a bug or food issue (highly likely i believe given issues above) but it's definitely in the hotel! There is lots of people with it and I have read reviews from 2019 saying the same thing. We was okay first 2 days but then it started... 7 members of our party have had it and everyone else now having symptoms. The cleaners and receptionists seem to be very aware there is a problem after speaking to them a few times about changing bedding and needing extra cleans in the room. It's totally spoilt out time away and wish we would have read about it before we booked as it is a reuccuring problem i believe. Games VR room - This is brilliant for gaming kids and for a night out as a family. Staff are brilliant. Pool area and entertainment - Fantastic entertainment at night with live shows and Disney characters. Not much Day time entertainment but when there has been its been good. Kids club in the day is brill too while we relaxed in chill out area. Pools are really good apart from it being very busy and the fight over seating. Be prepared to stand by the pool or sit in the shade if you don't que for deck chairs and reserve them with a towel. Pirate and Italian restaurant- wouldn't recommend it as it's just plated food from the main dining room and snack bar and not much choice at all. Very rushed service also. Rooms - FAMILY ROOM 6+ people Be prepared they are all on the higher floors. We arrived and was told we was on the 21st floor. 22 floors in total. I won't use the lifts because there tiny, old and the ques to use them are very long so I took the stairs. 😅 the stairs are 2 flights for one floor going round in circles so by the time you get up your dizzy and can't breathe haha. (Informed by reception that lifts are unpredictable and they even use the steps so they don't get stuck In One) The rooms make you feel abit sick with how high they are. Our verander bannister had some movement in it and that was it for me. I have come with 5 children and I couldn't risk been that high with a wobbly veranda and large opening windows. The other room in the party was floor 22 in another tower, they used the lifts however they were hit and and miss, sometimes they had to walk the whole way just because how long it took to get a lift. There room had no verander which in a way felt safer but annoying not having the outside space. Location- beach is a 5 min walk away and is lovely with restaurants and shops nearby. 1 hour walk to benidorm centre. Slides - very good and kids loved them.. they are in the shade until the afternoon, but this didn't bother the kids. April Weather - we have been very lucky with weather and it has been really warm every day. No rain at all. I have shared this to Facebook group and have now been banned from the Facebook group so by the sounds of it the hotel doesn't want to know truthful feedback which is very frustrating for others looking for honest reviews before booking!!

Any questions please ask! Tried to be as detailed...
