I seriously do not know where to start , i am still at this hotel I have been here 4 days got 3 days left & I'm on here at 21 : 35 pm back in my room writing a review... it is horrendously a terrible hotel the worst hotel I have ever been in can't wait untill I get home 3 days can't come fast enough if I'm honest....
Entertainment: if you can not understand Spanish then your .... everything in this hotel is provided for Spanish people it is the same equivalent to pontins they false advertise what's on and it's thier own staff that does the shows its horrendously bad loads of people have got up and left and went out of the hotel to pubs outside the complex including tonight's guests... I have come to my room can not take it anymore.
Staff : reception staff 4 out of 6 and very ignorant do not want to help any families that are Scottish, Welsh, Irish, English I have witnessed this with my own eyes they also put Spanish people 1st .. male reception staff in his 50s bald head glasses refused to help u.k families told them to ask jet 2 staff..
Security guard daytime : ( baldy head wears sunglasses thinks he is gods gift ) its there job to help all guest I have seen him on several occasions refuse to help families from the u.k I have also seen him bend over backwards for Spanish families lifting prams up and down stairs the man Is a joke.
Food; the food is good can not complain plenty of choice and pretty good to be honest , plenty of pop, juices, tea, coffee, wine , beer ..
Lift to rooms ; there is 26 floors in 4 buildings each building has 4 lifts , 1 has not been in use since we have been here the other 3 hahaha you can hardly get a lift to your floor we have walked up the stairs most days we have been here , we has seen a woman with a disabled girl in a wheelchair about 11 years old stranded on the 8th floor for several hours we have spoke to a woman who had to walk upto the 17th floor carrying a suitcase where she could not get a lift because the all lifts have been broken , if my wife did not inform not reception staff because they did not want to know she Informed jet 2 lady who brought it to the managers attention it would of not been fixed .
Pirate tavern: pub inside hotel serves raw food 2 families on the same day walked out behind us for same reason.
Games room ; v.r is absolutely brilliant very small but good
Swimming pool : yes good for children and adults who do not want to do anything all holiday apart from drinking alcohol and lying down ,Slides are OK at back of hotel
Exterior of hotel needs all re painted Interior of hotel needs all painted when you are able to catch a lift they are horrible inside
Reception lobby; the seating area they provide is all grimey the cushions are always wet and damp ( people coming in from pool area ) you sit on them in fresh cloths your gaurnteed you have to go back to your room to change , they are police here arresting guest most nights ( Spanish gypsies) and Spanish guests yes hard to believe not English guests which make a change lol ..
I could go on and on for a couple more hours , overall this is a Spanish pontius if not worse I feel sick as a dog for wasting my hard earned money to Come to a place like this I am writing this review so other people do not waste there money if you want to ignore this review I don't really care because I don't know you and it does not bother me if you ignore the review and come anyway I wish you all the best , if you come I really & truly hope you have a better experience than me and my family & all the families who are her now who feel the same way as me... like I said do not expect to get any help from most of the Spanish staff who work here because they just don't care and that is the TRUTH, if you are Spanish you will get royal treatment which I have seen 1st hand and experienced... GOOD LUCK with your stay here DO NOT COMPLAIN YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED IN ADVANCE and that is because its is that bad here i do not want people like me and other families who have experienced the same extremely...
Read moreAn honest review, worth reading: After reading a variety of good and bad reviews, I started my 5 day holiday with an open mind. First impression wasn't amazing - the queue to check in was fairly long (however this is expected with such a big amount of guests) and we had to wait 2 hours for our room, but we asked 30mins before told it would be ready if we could go in and we were told we could.
Room was amazing - we stayed in tower 1 floor 22 (staff were very helpful when it came to finding the lifts for our tower) and the views from our room and hallway were beautiful. We stayed in a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, 1 kitchen and 1 living room apartment and it was great, the only thing i can mention is a couple of stains on the pillow sheet. It was cleaned daily and sheets were changed every 2-3 days.
I would like to mention Louisa, the jet2 lady who was incredibly friendly and helpful. She spoke very good spanish AND English which was so helpful when it came to booking taxis. She also helped us 4 kids (age range 12-16) when it came to finding things eg the food trucks, and our 2 elderly grandparents to gain an understanding of how everything works. Without her I think our holiday would be very different. I would also like to mention Carmen who was so helpful and friendly when I got injured outside of the hotel and came back unable to walk. She too spoke amazing English and Spanish, and took care of calling the insurance company, calling us a taxi to the hospital and helping my grandparents (who don't speak good English let alone Spanish) understand what documents I needed. She also made sure I was ok and not in too much pain.
Food: There wasn't a great selection of vegetarian food, especially with picky eaters as we found we ate chips and bread pretty much every day for lunch and dinner. 2 of my family did eat meat but not a lot due to the multiple reviews warning us about it. Breakfast was great and very nice though. I will say we were slightly disappointed when finding we were limited to the snack bar (which didn't have much vegetarian hot food except chips and fruit, bar and main Caribbean buffet as we were told by reception it was required to have All Inclusive Plus to enter the other restaurants eg the Italian. There were 2 bars, one of which we went to daily and it was great. They served soft drinks, slushies, chips and nachos which were all great for us kids, and a range of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, all what seemed to be free of charge. The 2 food trucks were also great, and thanks to Louisa who helped us find them. One served ice cream in cups and cones (chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, caramel which was amazing, lemon, pistachio and natas) and the other served waffles, pancakes, donuts, and churros with toppings. The lady operating them was very friendly.
Facilities: Pool was honestly great and very big, however very busy and hard to find an empty deckchair. Felt very safe with multiple lifeguards, and there were daily activities eg water dancing thing, and a competition of who could run the furthest on a mat on the water. Waterpark was also great, there was a smaller one aimed for smaller children which we didnt visit but the main one was great, with i think 6 waterslides, all of which were very fun and thrilling. There were also multiple activities every day around the hotel which ranged from foam parties to rifle shooting. There is a timetable of when these happen, and many thanks to Louisa again who helped us find exactly where these were located. Games room and arcade - one required money for all the games so we couldn't play on these and the games room seemed like it needed All Inclusive Plus, however they seemed great. WiFi didn't work in the room only in the hallway and main hotel area, although we were on the top floor so expected.
Staff were great, most spoke English and Spanish, and if they didn't speak your language they put in best efforts to find someone who did. Overall a lovely holiday, especially for young...
Read moreHonest Review of this hotel, covering everything, hope this helps.. I am writing this as never seen any reviews like this before I had arrived and wished I had. Please bare in mind aswell I am far from fussy and have never wrote a negative review in my life! Haha!
Went away as a group of 13 people... 4 adults and 9 children for one week. Children aged 4-13.
Food - • Has lots of variety and spaced out in a large dining hall.. As the week has gone on, we found issues... • One main thing was a stone found in the lasagna ! Yes, a stone it was confirmed by the chef, and he couldn't say why this was. • When food is replaced, this is added to the old food dish, and old food is pushed to the front of the tray and new to the back. • Dinner Hall gets very busy and ques for food. • Staff in dinner hall clear plates very fast, even had few occasions where plate cleared before food was finished.
SICKNESS - I don't know if this is a bug or food issue (highly likely i believe given issues above) but it's definitely in the hotel! There is lots of people with it and I have read reviews from 2019 saying the same thing. We was okay first 2 days but then it started... 7 members of our party have had it and everyone else now having symptoms. The cleaners and receptionists seem to be very aware there is a problem after speaking to them a few times about changing bedding and needing extra cleans in the room. It's totally spoilt out time away and wish we would have read about it before we booked as it is a reuccuring problem i believe. Games VR room - This is brilliant for gaming kids and for a night out as a family. Staff are brilliant. Pool area and entertainment - Fantastic entertainment at night with live shows and Disney characters. Not much Day time entertainment but when there has been its been good. Kids club in the day is brill too while we relaxed in chill out area. Pools are really good apart from it being very busy and the fight over seating. Be prepared to stand by the pool or sit in the shade if you don't que for deck chairs and reserve them with a towel. Pirate and Italian restaurant- wouldn't recommend it as it's just plated food from the main dining room and snack bar and not much choice at all. Very rushed service also. Rooms - FAMILY ROOM 6+ people Be prepared they are all on the higher floors. We arrived and was told we was on the 21st floor. 22 floors in total. I won't use the lifts because there tiny, old and the ques to use them are very long so I took the stairs. 😅 the stairs are 2 flights for one floor going round in circles so by the time you get up your dizzy and can't breathe haha. (Informed by reception that lifts are unpredictable and they even use the steps so they don't get stuck In One) The rooms make you feel abit sick with how high they are. Our verander bannister had some movement in it and that was it for me. I have come with 5 children and I couldn't risk been that high with a wobbly veranda and large opening windows. The other room in the party was floor 22 in another tower, they used the lifts however they were hit and and miss, sometimes they had to walk the whole way just because how long it took to get a lift. There room had no verander which in a way felt safer but annoying not having the outside space. Location- beach is a 5 min walk away and is lovely with restaurants and shops nearby. 1 hour walk to benidorm centre. Slides - very good and kids loved them.. they are in the shade until the afternoon, but this didn't bother the kids. April Weather - we have been very lucky with weather and it has been really warm every day. No rain at all. I have shared this to Facebook group and have now been banned from the Facebook group so by the sounds of it the hotel doesn't want to know truthful feedback which is very frustrating for others looking for honest reviews before booking!!
Any questions please ask! Tried to be as detailed...
