The beach at Finestrat is alot quieter than the neighbouring beaches of Poniente and Levante in Benidorm (especially during the warmer months). The sand is golden, the water is crystal clear and there are superb views. Facilities at the beach include sunbed and umbrella hire for approximately 6€ each and toilets / changing rooms. The beach is large enough to enjoy a picnic with friends or family.
Near to the beach there is a great variety of bars, restaurants and hotels, as well as plenty of parking (charges apply). If visiting by bus, there is easy access from the bus station or Benidorm Central (number 2 bus for around 3.30€ return). On a Tuesday and Saturday there is an outdoor market located at Carrer Tramuntana, 03570 (closes at around 1pm).
Finestrat beach is approximately 9km from Benidorm, which is defined by the Old and New Towns. The attractions at the Old Town include Poniente beach, Tapas Alley, The Dove Park (fountain), The Marina (Maritime Cultural Centre, boat trips and water sports), Cala Del Mal Pas Beach, The L`Hort de Colon Museum (19th century house), Parque de L'Alguiera (traditional bullring and two amphitheaters) and the Balco del Mediterrani (viewing platform and Saint James church).
Within the New Town there is The Benidorm Palace Theatre, a casino, bingo hall, lots of shops, hotels, restaurants and bars with tribute bands and karaoke, cable skiing, a children's fairground, a Wednesday and Sunday market located on waste ground near the Servigroup Pueblo Hotel at C. Ibiza, 17, 03503, a bowling alley and arcades, Levante Beach and The Cross.
Other attractions in and around Benidorm include the Algar Waterfalls, the Costa Blanca Downhill Bike Ride, Segway and quad tours, the La Marina Shopping Centre, Mundomar (waterpark with dolphins, sea lions, tortoises, flamingos, parrots and so on), the chocolate museum in Villajoyosa, the Magic Robin Hood medieval dinner show / waterpark, the sleeping Lion (Mont Ponoch) hiking trail at Polop, museums in Guadalest, Terra & Aqua Natura, El Cisne Flea Market at Altea and Terra Mitica. Read moreHaving a great time staying here. The place is well kept lovely relaxed atmosphere, if potentially say at worst the locals can be a tad rude but that said most are very polite.. but the locals maybe sick of the English I heard some mutter 😆.
The beach is stunning tbh with a good few waves to enjoy. Nice bars and food places, chemist supermarkets,, bus trip for 2 adults 3 kids was only 6 euros and 15 mind. The Beach is sandy and well kept.. it’s more of a locally used Spanish beach so it’s nice and not full of noisy English 🤣. Other than some locals it’s quite honestly a stunning little place to come as a family 💯...
