Caracolillo Coffee — Restaurant in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

Wanted a light bite for breakfast and a good coffee to go with it, this place was exactly what we needed. The team of 4 worked the cafe flawlessly. They were busy when we arrived but despite this we were seated immediately and even had our table meticulously repositioned to ensure it was just right. We both ordered Scrambled egg on toast and had coffee to go with it, they usually take the drinks order first but preferred (as did we) that our drinks come with the food. Food was spot on and the 2 large cappuccinos we ordered were very good too; I always drink my coffee with sugar but on recommendation from the chef, I tried it without and found the caramel notes were enough to have be drink and (more surprisingly) thoroughly enjoy my first coffee without sugar in a long time. We also had a baked cookie to share which was very tasty too... all for €22. Absolute bargain. Despite how busy it was, each time someone visited a table, the staff member would stop and briefly chat which made for a very comfortable visit. You can tell this isn't just a job to them, they appeared to be enjoying the bustling environment. They were passionate about the coffee...I regret not buying some to take...

Decor is clean and simple, a stark contrast with the garish colour scheme of the café that was here before. The staff are very amicable. However, I was disappointed with the coffee I had.
