La Madrileña Bar Churreria — Restaurant in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

This is the place that I go to have breakfast every morning. I have had a lunchtime meal here with my partner.

But I do not want to eat all my meals in the same place. I have tried other places.

I even tried pizza somewhere else for breakfast.

I like the nearby Chinese Kebab restaurant on the main street - not the side street.

To be honest with you, I think that Chinese people work harder, for longer, for less money, and the result is better value for the customer.

If I gave this cafe (restaurant) five stars for everytime I visited, they would be doing very well on points.

Because of language problems, it took me a while to establish what I want from them. Perhaps they should do a breakfast menu in English.

My daily breakfast is:

Coffee with milk

Real orange juice (fresh, not out of a bottle) 2.50 € large glass (an extravagance).

And

Baguette with beef steak and salad.

It usually comes to 6.80 €

Very good value for money

and they are 'open all hours'.

You can tell they are good because they are always crowded!

We visited this local Churreria every week and almost twice a week☺️🙌 we were friends already with Luis, such an attentive care and service, from the first day we enjoyed it and the food is so tasty and the prices are also great! We were always full and took with ourselves as the portions were also big enough. We liked vegetarian Chinese cuisine, also almost all tapas 😋 very nice atmosphere and we played there games and were always welcomed ☺️🙌✨

This place is a must-go if you're visiting Las Palmas and are in the Canteras neighbourhood. It's buzzing with locals and tourists, and it's a joy to sit and watch people in front and behind the bar while having one of the local specialities: Canarian Ham Sandwich or Churros with hot chocolate. Once you've ordered your churros you'll hear the waiter/ waitress shout "cuatro piezas, cuatro" (four pieces, four) to the back of the bar where your order will be freshly made. We've come here for years and the staff is always the same. I tend to think that tells a great - positive - deal...
