Bar Cafetería Ricarepa — Restaurant in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

No English speaking waiter (not even a little bit).

We were there as two people to have a meal in the evening. The menu is digital (qr code) and pricier than what you find on some images here. The food is still rather affordable. We paid ~26€

We had papas with ham and cheese... Which to our surprise weren't the tiny famous potatoes but rather fries with melted cheese and ham on top. Our mistake for being bad with Spanish. They were a bit dry without a sauce but still good.

We had mozzarella sticks without mozzarella ( they were all empty shells as the cheese had run out). We tried to point it out and out of 6 uneaten she brought us 3 new ones with cheese free of charge.

We also had a fajita which was great.

And croquets which were good. The decorations were slightly wilted bigger pieces if lettuce. That was a bit of as it didn't look good and the chunks were too big to eat.

It all came with some kind of dip which we really enjoyed.

All in all if you speak Spanish go there if not Maybe look for...

We ordered some Arepas, Tequenos and Cachapas. The Tequenos came after 10 minutes and were good. Then it took over 30 minutes for one person to get the food, as this person was done eating, the food of the second person arrived. Then another 15 minutes for the rest of the food. It makes no sense that the food does not come together. The food must have arrived at a similar time as we wanted to eat together without the food getting cold. The one Arepa and Cachapa with cheese was smeared with avocado, which it should not contain. Bottom line the food was good but does not worth one...

La comida está bien, pero con la que está cayendo a día de hoy con el covid19 también hay que tener en cuenta otras cosas igual o más importantes que el hecho de que una comida esté mejor o peor. La atención y el trato fue correcto a la llegada, pero todo cambió en cuanto la chica que estaba atendiendo y cocinando cuando llegamos se fue y dejó a su hija a cargo de todas las tareas del local. Bastaron un par de minutos para que la chica se bajara la mascarilla a la barbilla y entrara a la cocina el chico con el que llegó (con la nariz por fuera de la mascarilla en todo momento). Ante mi incomodidad con la situación me acerco al final de la barra para decirle que se pusiera la mascarilla a lo que me respondió: es que estoy haciendo esto (refiriéndose a la comida). Mi respuesta: da igual lo que estés haciendo, la mascarilla es obligatoria (así lo indica también un cartel en el interior del local). Visto esto, que el chico que estaba con ella sirvió un par de platos (sin haberse lavado las manos previamente ni usar el gel hidroalcohólico) y que se les cayó algo al suelo y sin reparo lo vuelven a poner en la mesa y seguir preparando las cosas, decido preguntarle a la chica por la persona encargada del local. Me dice que no está y no va a acudir esa noche, y que si quiero puedo coger el teléfono que tienen para el cobro con Bizum y llame al dueño, cosa que hice en par de ocasiones antes de salir del local y no obtuve respuesta.

Es por todo esto que no repetiremos, o al menos hasta que todo esto pase, puesto que las medidas de higiene y actitud ante ellas son...
