I like this restaurant. The location is great and the food is usually pretty good for the most part. The male servers are very attentive and nice. I won't be returning though. I was here with a friend a few weeks ago and the female waitress assumed I didn't speak Spanish and was speaking to him and referred to me as a guiri. She also only spoke to him, never even glanced at me. She should worry less about where I am from and more about that my money was going to the reestaurant where she works even though I can choose any other restaurant on the paseo. I am a local and one who used to refer people here. No more.
Update: In response to the comment from the restaurant…if that was the owner…shame on her. It was not a joke and it was very rude. She’s wasn’t commenting on the dialect if she never even spoke to me, which she did not. And if she wanted to call me a tourist, she could do that. She chose the word guiri and never once looked at me. She was very rude. Glad I know it was the owner. I will absolutely avoid her establishment from now on. She should feel ashamed of her rudeness and...
Read moreYummy flavourful food. Menu comes in different languages. Menu is of 2 pages, not too many items.
The grilled octopus (€17.80, SGD25.20) on a bed of sautéed potatoes and fried salted padron peppers served with red and green Canarian mojo sauce.
The octopus lightly grilled hence maintaining its juiciness with tenderness. Dipping sauce very addictive with its matching mojo sauces and Pedro peppers for that extra flavour.
The seafood and fish paella for 2 pax (€17.80 per pax min. 2 pax, SGD50.50). Rice cooked from scratch hence the wait of 20-30 mins. Rice was cooked to perfection and flavored with saffron, not mushy, slightly al dente which I love! Seafood cooked perfectly also, which included fish, mussels, clams, squid. With capsicums.
Extra points for thoughtful: staff placed aluminum foil over our paella to keep warm in the cold weather. Service generally was attentive and pleasant. Be sure to make reservations as the restaurant had to turn away a few customers as...
Read moreToday we had a reservation for 2 @ 14 hrs. It was raining on our arrival , at a quiet restaurant with many empty tables, inside and on the terrace. We were greeted by an unfriendly older woman, who offered us a table on the terrace, without an umbrella or protection from the rain. We asked her for another table inside the restaurant ( there was only 1 occupied table inside at the time, many were empty ). She was insistent that the only table we could have, was the table in the rain. Another equally, unfriendly male waiter arrived and we said to him we would like another table that was protected from the rain. However he like the old woman demonstrated a bad attitude and his communication with us was unprofessional / aggressive in tone. We decided to leave this restaurant, that did not deserve our custom . In summary, this restaurant has good quality food, but has bad quality people working in it . We will never return and will advise everyone we know not to...
