"Best pizza I've ever had" (quote from the wife).
And she isn't wrong, I'm scoring the food a 5 with a caveat. The Restaurant is quite small and we sat it side at 20:00H and it was cold, but you just need a fleece on and that problem is dealt with.
Ok the food.... I like bread and for me pizza has to be made with good bases and the dough is all fresh, has a great texture and great taste. The tomatoe sause is also freshly made, and has a fresh tomato taste to it.
Toppings... We had margarita for the kids, I am usually not a fan or margarita due to it being too cheesy for me, but the cheese used here is also great, it has a chewyness, and flavor without needing too sickly. I liked the margarita.
The wife had a vegetarian aubergine pizza, which was good, tasty with out the aubergine beeing too mushy.
I had a pizza Leo with out sausage, and it was great, really flavoursome meats.
And of court we finished it off with Tiramisu. This was soooo light, not too sweet, also well recommend.
The staff were great, they speak English making it a nice experience for englishers like myself. It can get a little busy but we didn't have to wait too long for the bill.
One piece of advise, the pizzas are too big for one person but a little too small for 2 hungry people. I recommend splitting 1 pizza between 2 and getting starters. Kids under 11 can comfortably share 1 pizza between them.
Also check the menu on line, this is a pizzaria not an Italian restaurant, so you won't find many pasta or meat dishes, but for pizza this place is...
Read moreSaw the good revises and really wanted to try it. We were 4 and ordered 4 pizzas since we all wanted different ones.
The best: the pizza quality (and value) and the service. Both waiters and the pizza maker/owner came to explain ingredients, ask how pizza was, etc.
The less good: due to covid, you can only eat outside, they dont have many tables so reserve ahead! There were lots of people from a nearby bar smoking throughout our lunch, which is no fat of the pizza place, but keep in mind if you're sensitive to smoke smells!
Also I wanted to try their squid ink dough pizza, but they didnt have it that day :(
The food: I ended up ordering the pizza del Rey (king's pizza) with lots of Italian ingredients. The burrata was so delicious and matched the pizza and ingredients incredibly well. This was one of the more expensive ones (€13.90). My family got the capricciosa (€10), the diavola, and the tuna onion one (€8.50). Pizzas are thin crust, so supposed to be individual, but none of us could finish ours (we dont eat pizza a lot), so we took 1.5 leftovers home! But we HAD TO order their tiramisu. They actually have a regular one (€5), and a pistachio one (€6.50), so we tried both. These are family style, meaning lighter in coffee and no liquor. Creamy, and the perfect way to end a savory meal.
We will...
Read moreBeen over a year since my last review, so thought I’d update it. Went last night and Da Eriselda Pizzeria is still the best. My favourite pizza I’ve ever had. The Mialina with Burrata and added anchovies just can’t be beat. My kids absolutely love Luigi’s pizza, his restaurant and his warm and friendly service. I will always love this place and it will always be my favourite pizza.
My favourite pizza restaurant, not just in Gran Canaria but In the world. The staff are so passionate about the ingredients, the food, the service and the customers. The pizza bread is amazing, the toppings are such good quality and taste amazing. Luigi’s is proof that passion about every little detail makes amazing food. This place is our families favourite place in Las Palmas, love every meal in here and we love the staff. Even when we are just passing by, the staff all wave and say hello to us. Great place, great staff,...
