We choose this restaurant because of the reviews. The restaurant is located in the city center. 2nd floor of a normal building. We entered from a normal apartment door. We were the only guests when we entered and we stayed the only customers until we left after about one and half hours, so the whole atmosphere was weird and felt like we invaded someone's home. Except for a tv with old Indian songs, we were just like inside someone's home. We ordered Vegetable curry and vegetable korma. Both dishes came almost raw. The mixed vegetables they used were clearly the frozen vegetable mix from Lidl, which I'm very familiar with. Green beans, edame, carrots, peas, broccoli and artichoke which is clearly not the typical Indian vegetable mix. The food lacked taste since the vegetables were just boiled and added to the sauce. We ordered 3 papadum of which we got only 2 and the third was forgotten. I received the main dish directly so I decided to not remind about the third papadum. On the receipt it showed 5, not even 3, before we asked to get it corrected. We also had 3 water and the check showed 4. Short reminder: we were the only guests and there is no reason for calculation mistakes. It was "awkward" to describe it in the most polite possible way. We ended up paying about 80 euros for food that usually costs an average of 60 euros. I have no clue when and how the online reviews before are that positive, for us it was an absolute tourist-trap, and I have been to over a hundred Indian restaurants before. Don't go there. Save the money and enjoy better food in a nicer place. In case you wonder about why I did not speak up in the restaurant. My wife wanted to be polite and replied that it was ok when the...
Read moreThis has been an absolute nightmare! We endured a flight from London to the Canary Islands with one major goal: to enjoy a meal at this so-called restaurant, which shamelessly advertised itself as OPEN. We arrived to find it CLOSED, with a deceitful note on the window rubbing salt into the wound. This is not just a minor inconvenience; it’s a monumental failure and a complete disregard for customers. We wasted time, money, and a precious part of our holiday for NOTHING. This place is a joke, a fraud, and an utter disgrace to the hospitality industry. If you value your sanity, stay far away from this disgraceful establishment. It deserves every bit of...
Read moreFantastic!!!!!! Food was some of the best Indian food we have ever had. Can compete with some of the best Indian food we have had in London. Service was top notch, attentive and the owner gave us really great food recommendations. Portions are large, prices are extremely reasonable. Fresh ingredients and very flavourful. We went to Namaste a couple of weeks ago and we’re sorely disappointed - small portions, bland and expensive. This new restaurant, in contrast to Namaste, surpassed every expectation. We will be back again and again. New favourite. What a hidden jewel - on the second floor of an unpretentious building on...
