Il Forno — Restaurant in Lloret de Mar

Don’t go here, the food was quite frankly disgusting. I have never rated below 3 stars but this made me feel sick. This was our only bad meal in lloret de mar.

I had the chefs salad to start which was prawns with various salad. It could have been nice but all the prawns were really mushy and were obviously frozen. My partner got the iberico ham and melon and there was very little ham.

I got the il forno pizza and it was gross. The pizza was watery and the blue cheese turned into sludge. The toppings were all dumped in the middle and not spread out at all. My partner got the lasagne and the pasta was gooey and the whole thing was covered in Parmesan. I didn’t think there was such a thing as too much cheese but this was it!

The staff basically chucked our plates at us and kept knocking things over. The whole cutlery tray fell on the floor and I don’t think it was cleaned. Dirty plates were stacked next to fresh dishes and I saw them spill Fanta on a pizza and serve it still.

I came with my friends. I got grilled squids. They were not properly washed, i asked the waitress if it comes with fries and she started to explain more so mumbling something in spanish. They brought our food and gave me my calamares and gave one portion to my friend wich she did not order and we started to explain that we ordered one portion not two and the waitress that got our order was like but you ordered two, after that another waitress came a bit rude and said that we ordered two portions AGAIN so we explaind AGAIN that we didn't, every waitress that was walking past our table was looking at us like we stole something. My friend got paella and in that she got two clams, one uncoocked shrimp and one small piece of chicken, my other friend got greek pizza that was good but a little bit burned on the sides. Went twice in our weeks holiday because the food was fantastic. It's been a long time since my wife and I had such a good pizza. First time we had a garlic pizza based bread with the pizzas which was great but next time we had tomato sauce on it which literally was so tasty....The pizzas were light , fluffy tasty with the burnt bits and devoured with much gusto. Staff very friendly and we finished it off with a light tasty Tiramisu. If I'm ever back here it will be my first...
