La Vaca Echada — Restaurant in Lloret de Mar

I was shocked from the behavior it's a restaurant in a neighbourhood and the view is so bad but they told us the steak is good so we decided to eat there once we reached half of the tables were empty and they told us no u cannot sit it's reserved so we told him it's empty can we reserve and his reply was no we don't have reservation so I am not sure if they are choosing the people and am sure they are not choosing according to appearance I think they are choosing according to nationalities it depends on the language we speak till the owner came and he told the host to give us a table !! I was not comfortable but unfortunately we sit and the table and next to closed shops so the spots of the tables are terrible and the waiter was so rude and he said not nice words in Spanish I can understand because I speak French we ordered wine and I couldn't order or eat there I was so uncomfortable and at the end I am a customer and I am not having dinner for free so I asked for the bill of the wine and left and they were so rude no recommended at all !!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Best Steak in Lloret – Better than Miller & Carter!

We were welcomed into La Vaca Echada by Alex, who was absolutely lovely from the start, warm, charming, and full of personality. Jose then helped us pick the perfect wine, expertly recommending something that beautifully matched a Châteauneuf-du-Pape (thank you for that!). His knowledge and enthusiasm were top-tier.

Our waiter Santiago was sweet and delightfully attentive throughout the meal — professional, kind, and just the right amount of chatty. But it was Alex and Jose who really made the night — both were effortlessly bantery and gave me space (and encouragement!) to try out my Spanish. I even picked up a few new phrases thanks to their patience. They absolutely earned their £5 tip and more.

And the food? Outstanding. The steak was hands-down the best I’ve ever eaten — perfectly cooked, beautifully presented, and better than anything I’ve had at Miller & Carter in the UK (which used to be my go-to for steak). Every bite was packed with flavour, and you can tell they care about quality here.

We visited the restaurant for a dinner and sat on the terrace. Can’t tell you anything about the food, or drinks. But can tell you something about the rules of the restaurant and the service. We have a small dog (1kg weight). We put on the chair next to us, the waiter came and said that it’s not aloud to sit the dog on the chair. After that we decided to take her on our laps, because it was quiet cold and uncomfortable for a little to god to sit on the floor while we eat. The waiter came again and said that it’s not aloud to sit the dog on our lap and we must “respect”, we didn’t understand by the way what or who we have to respect. We decided to leave and they continued arguing with us and saying something about respect to others. I live in Spain for 2 years and it’s the first time I had a situation like this with my dog on the terrace. Also we asked one of the waiters to talk in English because we don’t understand Spanish, she said we are in Spain and continued talking in Spanish.
