Had a great time here, one thing that was wild to me however was the following;
They have this very fun wait stuff apart from this one brunette waitress that doesn't speak a lick of English (generally fine, we are in Spain after all). When she came to bring our food she first knocked over a drink, this is fine and can happen BUT, instead of first bringing the food back then cleaning it and returning with the food, she still puts down the food inside of the spilled drink.
This was weird but okay, she walks back to the kitchen, we assume to get a towel to come back and clean but no, instead she first delivers the food for the table next to us, spots us and then walks back to inside again.
Again, kinda weird but okay, she walks back out with a towel this time, proceeds to clean AROUND the plate of food that is covered in the spilled drink and then walks towards the kitchen again.
We assume she's walking back in order to both get a new cloth and also a replacement for the drink she just knocked over. However, to our surprise, she just walks out with more plates of food and starts serving other customer (the plate is still covered in the spilled drink and the drink has not been replaced).
We call her over and ask about it but she simply says "I don't speak English." and then proceeds to walk away (again, wouldn't you get someone that's actually able to speak English if you cannot understand instead of just walking away?)
Luckily for us the head waitress was the best human being in Lloret and a super hero at her job, so when we recounted the whole story to her she was profusely apologetic (and clearly baffled) and kindly helped us get another towel so we could finish cleaning the bottom of the plate of food and also brought a replacement drink to our table.
This was a very weird experience overall and hadn't ever happened to me before.
Overall head waitress was a super hero who completely turned this review from a 3/5 (as the food was never a problem and frankly tasted great) to a 5/5...
Read moreI would like to share my experience at the restaurant on the terrace of La Bella in Lloret de Mar. The view of the Costa Brava coastline is truly wonderful, and the peaceful atmosphere was perfect for enjoying time with family and children during the Christmas season. The menus they offer are delicious, and the staff is very friendly and attentive.
However, I had a somewhat unpleasant experience related to parking. It wasn’t clear that the parking lot is not directly in front of the restaurant, which led us to park in an area that, due to unfamiliarity, seemed accessible. Like other tourists from different countries, we were surprised to discover that many of the vehicles were towed away. We felt frustrated because the parking restriction signs are small and not very visible. Additionally, the fines of 200€ are quite steep, especially during a time when traffic and the number of people around are reduced.
I understand the importance of maintaining order and following regulations, but I would suggest considering more flexibility during periods of lower traffic, such as holidays or winter. It would be helpful to increase the visibility of the signs or to create more accessible parking spaces for tourists, who are often unfamiliar with local regulations.
Tourism is an important driver of the region’s economy, and a small adjustment in parking management could improve the visitor experience, ensuring that they can enjoy their stay without inconvenience. I hope my comment is taken constructively, in the spirit of continuing to promote a welcoming environment for all...
Read moreWe found this place to be quite busy and always had a lot of locals eating at it so we decided to give La Terrassa del Bella a go...
To start the waitress's were very polite and seated us swiftly, we used the QR to view the menu which had a wide variety of different food available.
We opted for the spicy patatas bravas which were extremely tasty, especially the sauce 👌
We then got the provolone cheese with bread and jam which was extraordinary, very impressed.
We also got nachos with sausage and cheese / jalapeno which were good, maybe some guacamole would have went nice too, but very tasty regardless.
I then opted for a Mallorquina burger which was tasty, and very different, I enjoyed it! It had raw cured sausage as a base to the bread with a nicely cooled burger, cheese and caramelised onions served on a very nice bun
Would recommend anyone to go here, it's proper Spanish and much better than the restaurants dotted about in loret de mar.
Lola and Julia our waitresses were quick, friendly and helpful. Can't thank...
