Route 66 — Restaurant in Lloret de Mar

Hmm, I'm not sure if the owner liked saying hello to me or not, as I tried talking to him but he appeared to look through me like I was the invisible man.

Anyway, the food that we ordered was excellent, tasted really good and was nice and hot. The service from the waiter was fast and he was extremely friendly too. The beer was nice and cold and it's nice to have a seaview whilst eating. Both my partner and I loved eating here and she would highly recommend this restaurant to people visiting Lloret De Mar, but I on the other hand have an issue with the owner.

Route 66 is a 5 star all day long (but down graded because of the owners attitude towards me). The owner was a bit off with me (probably a little bit racist as I noticed he acted the same way towards another person of colour who was trying to be friendly with him whilst in his restaurant), sadly I suspect that I'm 100% correct on my last point. Where do I start! The owner was like a scottish basil faulty. We chose to spend my son's 21st birthday having a meal at route 66. We checked with them in the afternoon that they would be able to cater for our party of 13. They stated that this wouldnt be a problem. However when we arrived, they sat us on three separate tables and we seemed to be a burden from start to finish. The food was mediocre and the hospitality poor. Their only saving grace was a local waiter who worked very hard and always had a smile on his face, and the mayonaise tasted lovely. The signage as you enter says something like "British owned, proper food" I should have seen the warning signs...

Looking for a classic good burger? You've come right! I was happily surprised about the quality of the food here. It's a bit small, and the decore might be a little outdated, but heck! Who needs a fancy decore when the food is good? The food is filling, and very good. Me and my wife had the cheese nachos for a starter, and were surprised about the size of the plate. Then we had a burger each, i had the BBQ one and my wife the cheese burger. They were astonishing! The burgers are juicy, the fries delicious, and the service is fast.
