Élite Café — Restaurant in Málaga

This was a lucky "stumble upon" while in route to the cathedral. Hungry for deseyunos it was right up my ally with a vegetarian sandwich option "combo" (to which I added an egg) that included a green drink as well as a coffee drink (I opted for cafe con leche) for 6.5 euro. The food was freshly prepared, healthy, and delicious. The bread was not like any I had - it had some grain baked onto it which made it more interesting and flavorful. The green drink was surprisingly tasty and a nice alternative to zumo de naraja (OJ) - they do have fresh OJ as well but I was adventurous. The service was great. As I am a bit of a tree hugger, I could not help but note that Elite Cafe's coffee cups said " Cafe de cultivo sostenible" - my word of the day "sustainable", loved it!! This place is a gem!✨it has very nice breakfast for 3.50€, the combo includes; fresh squeezed juice or Macedonia fruit bowl, coffee, and a hot sandwich. 8 combinations to chose from, and they’re all really yummy. I had the “bocadillo Catalana” that had inside cured ham, and a tomato paste, yum! Next day I came here again, and had the “sandwich mixto”, with cheese, ham and veggies, on a multi seed bread, also really good. To go with my sandwich I had a cafe latte, and the macedonia fruit, this last one had a nice mix of seasonal fruit, like apple, banana, pineapple, grape, kiwi, and orange. This breakfast is perfect to start with your day, either to go to work, or to explore the town as a tourist. Oh, and the food is not the only good thing here, the staff is also very nice, helpful and friendly.

Best place (imho) in Malaga so far in terms of food! Everything is super delicious and the price-value is absolutely amazing. Apart from that the staff is incredibly friendly and nice towards the customers even if they can't speak Spanish.. 😅

Bonus: This Cafè won the first prize in a croquettas tournament in 2022 (as far as I translated the poster), so it's worth visiting the place at least to confirm that it's croquettas are simply perfect!

If I visit Malaga again that would definitely be my favorite place to stop...
