We discovered the places thanks to google reviews. I will not add any new review, but I will support the good ones about this place. I will start with the food, overall was good. We ordered Patatas Bravas; as everyone should know, this dish has as many versions as people in the world. The good thing is that this one was 7/10 in taste, presentation and portion size. I missed a bit more spiciness, but this is a personal preference. We also ordered Migas. If you are travelling to Spain, this dish should be one of your top dishes to try. It’s a dish traditionally made from stale bread and other ingredients such as chorizo, morcilla, garlic, etc. and as traditional as paella, potato omelette or gazpacho. This one was good, again 7/10, well cooked, well presented and well seasoned. We also ordered a pincho de gambas… was good, well cooked again, but any highlights about this dish and meatballs in tomato sauce, again, the plates were good but not as good as the 2 previous ones. 6/10 Finally, the Montadito La Tranka. It’s a sandwich with lomo marinado, it was good, but I think they have better options on the menu. The place’s decoration is what makes the place attractive. It’s full of famous Andalucian artists portraits, from singers to toreros, making the place unique. The service was excellent, kind and very efficient during all the services.

The best tapas place in Málaga! We went there on a Friday night, so the place was full and we had to wait for one hour in line, but oh my, it was worth it! There was music playing, people were dancing and singing, the vibe was amazing. And the food… mmm everything super delicious, every little thing. I highly recommend visiting the place, but if you wouldn’t like to wait, maybe go early - at around 6 or 7, it’s too early for Spanish people 😄 Be mindful though, the menu is in Spanish. I personally recommend pimientos de padrón, aguacate relleno (stuffed avocado), pimientos rellenos (stuffed peppers), empanadas (little pies stuffed with meat or cheese/spinach, etc.), albóndigas (meatballs), flamenquín (jamon wrapped in pieces of pork loin, coated in bread and fried), vermouth de barríl and tinto de verano, although I’m sure everything else is delicious as well.

Probably my favourite bar in malaga. The staff were superb, so friendly & welcoming 🙏 We tried reserve a table one night during our stay but only walk in basis. When we went that evening it was literally like walking into a Spanish night Club it was such a great buzz but not ideal to be ordering food or yet again we wouldn't have gotten a table it was that busy! We went back the following day for brunch because I really had my heart set on trying here & it did not disappoint! We were there for around 12.30 midday & just on time to get a table because it started to fill within minutes. There's no actual menu so we went by photos from Google reviews & pointed them out to the staff. It was reasonably priced, tasty & efficient. Loved everything about

A friend from Malaga recommended this bar and I stopped by two separate times. Once for lunch and then after dinner. The atmosphere is very local with authentic music. The bar itself is almost always packed, but if you’re patient you can get a stool and that’s all you need! Order the almond sauce meatballs, jamón y queso empanadas, and shishito peppers. A glass of house wine is about €2.5. They don’t need a card to open a tab, the tab is tracked with chalk on the bar top! We felt super intimidated at first but within minutes a friendly bar patron started chatting with us, then more and more people chatted us. We had a blast and couldn’t be happier to have the experience. 10/10 recommend.

This is definitely off the beaten path… was a bit nervous when my friend led me into the depths of Málaga, but as we got close, we could hear the energy and great vibe within the bar. We arrived at prime time- around 9:30-10pm and made our way thru the crowd to the back bar below the glass bottles we saw in other photos. We ordered a beer and waited for a spot to open up along the way. Once secured, we ordered empanadas that were sooooooo good. Bartenders were super nice. Limited English, so do try and learn a few word how to order - or just use Google Translate. We stayed for 3 beers each and lots of great local people watching.

If you come to Málaga, go to this restaurant first. Don't like me come here on the last day. This was one of my cheapest meals in Málaga but the most impressive. As soon as you enter the bar, you will love the decoration here and will feel a positive energy from the waiters here. They are always smiling and happy. They not only communicate with customers but also interact with each other making the atmosphere very close and comfortable. I paid 3 tapas along with 1 white wine and 1 coke zero for only 16eu. I wish I had come here sooner to come back here more times. 10 out of 10. Ps. The waitor is so handsome haha.

Description
Traditional tapas offered in a laid-back tavern with kitschy, old-fashioned decor.
