A Taste of Peru in the Heart of Málaga!

We just discovered this authentic Peruvian restaurant in Málaga, and it was a fantastic find! We visited La Barra Inca for lunch and were thoroughly impressed by the food, atmosphere, and service.✨

My husband ordered tacu tacu a lo macho, and I had the leche de tigre carretillero and the Manco Capac combo. Everything was incredibly tasty, beautifully presented, and served fresh and fast. We finished with a mousse de lúcuma, which was the perfect sweet ending. For drinks, my husband enjoyed an Inca Kola, and I ordered a fresh mango juice that instantly transported me to Peru. Unlike the usual canned or bottled options, the juices here are freshly made—absolutely delicious and a must-try!

One thing that stood out is that this place is pet-friendly. We had our dog with us, and the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming. 🐶 They made sure she had water as soon as she settled, which we really appreciated. 🙏🏽

We highly recommend Barra Inca for its authentic Peruvian flavors, friendly and attentive staff, and quick service. We’ll definitely return to on our next...

Excellent joint in Malaga and one of the best places you can go for dinner. The Peruvian-Japanese fusion is extremely interesting.

My partner got the Fettuccini and beef tenderloin which was amazing. I am vegan, and was keen to eat here based on seeing Google reviews and Happy Cow reviews saying they had good vegan options. Just a PSA, the waiters were a bit unsure of vegan options. They ended up whipping together a vegan ceviche which I believe was mentioned in reviews and it was AMAZING. So fresh, in-depth and flavoursome. However, it was more of a side dish than a whole dinner. If you are vegan and looking for a full meal I wouldn’t recommend this place. If you aren’t vegan, the options are endless and would highly recommend.

I can’t give the place anything but 5 stars because the other food was lovely and not all places need to cater to vegans, but a few more options would have really been amazing. I really appreciated the amazing service and how patient and caring the waiters were to serve a vegan option! Overall, a great vibe and wonderful...

Had one of the sets during an off-peak time. It was great for trying different dishes the restaurant had to offer in small portions, and I enjoyed every single part of it. The fried rice was seasoned very well, the calamari was delicious, and I didn’t expect the ceviche to be so fresh. The ceviche had a decent bit of spiciness kick to it - not something one finds often in this region. I don’t know what Pisco sour is supposed to taste like, but I felt it was like drinking a fruity, sweet, alcoholic cappuccino. It was a refreshing way to end the meal. For the quality, the price is absolutely reasonable (30 euros for the meal pictured - 9 for the drink and 21 for the set). I also wrote this review before paying and was extremely surprised that all tax and service charge was baked into the menu price. Honest business!
