Trust me when I say, that you don’t want to skip this place. My first visit to Spain, my first day and I just happened to be passing through the Calle Granada when I spotted this restaurant. It had some sort of wonderful spell to it. I looked at the menu, liking its contents and waited 5 minutes for them to fully open the restaurant. Eager to try the traditional cuisine I ordered gazpacho and needless to say, I was not disappointed. In fact I enjoyed it very much. The main course, the fried baby squids, was absolutely divine. The staff was very kind, swift and very friendly. I ended up returning two more times to this lovely place during my stay, never missing a chance to try some of their delicious tapas. This place was the greatest introduction to the Spanish cuisine I could ever wish for. I wish them luck and hope that other visitors of Malaga will find their way to this...

We came to Restaurante Esquina Granada specifically to try the paella, as we noticed many other guests ordering it and assumed it must be one of their specialties. Unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. The paella lacked flavor and seasoning, and instead of being rich and satisfying, it tasted rather bland. Given the reputation of Granada for authentic Spanish food, we had expected much more. The atmosphere of the restaurant itself was fine and service was acceptable, but the main reason we came—the paella—simply didn’t meet expectations. With a bit more care in preparation and seasoning, this dish could be much better, but as it stands, I wouldn’t recommend it if you are looking for an authentic...

Stumbled upon this place as we settled into Malaga. It was the first thing we saw, a beautiful storefront and a tucked away patio in an intimate cobblestone alley.

We were met by a super friendly server and ordered some beers and paella. It took 20 minutes to prepare - all good things take time - this was NO exception.

We had the seafood paella and it was the most freshest seafood I’ve had in all of Spain. They don’t hold back on the seafood. You know when you order a dish with seafood and there’s like 4 things in it? This was NOT THAT. We had more seafood leftover than rice and holy cow was it an incredible experience.

Would absolutely come back. Very affordable...

really great & friendly service! checked in on us throughout our meal. the food was pretty good and decent as well. thoroughly enjoyed the gazpacho (cold tomato soup) cos the weather was HOT 🥵 the iberian pork cheeks were so yummy and tender, the sauce was rly rly good—a balanced mix of savoury, tangy & slightly spicy/peppery idk what it is but it went so well with everything in the dish. had their seafood paella too (much worth to get 2 pax for 25€ as compared to 1 pax for 17€), very big portions, quite a lot of seafood but didnt have squid :( this place was a good find, and made for a peaceful mealtime amidst the hustle and busyle of the busy town centre 👍

A lovely little restaurant in a very central and charming location. The outdoor tables are set right on the sidewalk, yet you never get the feeling that you’re dining in the middle of the street. We ordered the seafood paella, and it was absolutely delicious - packed with flavor and cooked to perfection! The food was freshly prepared on the spot, which took a little longer, but the waiter kindly let us know in advance. The service was wonderful - attentive, friendly, and professional. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy dining experience.
