Traditional Hammam. Really clean, peaceful (if respectful), lacking nothing. Forbidden to photograph inside the spa of course but from the photos I could take and share, you can see the quality of the establishment. Inside the spa as painted beautifully, water running in almost every corner. The stone, especially the steps and the hexagonal stone table are just hot enough, like perfect. For only a couple of € more, I was given the black soap and scrubbing mitt to self scrub but book in. Advance for their renowned excellent scrub massages and or list of other massages. Really loved the peace I felt here. A must go to kick-start your sunny days and cool air nights x

Date night with my wife - very relaxing! The staff were so friendly and welcoming. We relaxed in the baths for a bit, before they called us upstairs for our massages together. Note that we picked the separate therapeutic (strong) massages, not the relaxing massages that are experienced in the main baths. Our massages were great. It’s also worth noting that this is a traditional spa where there are no pools, just peaceful, beautiful rooms with hot water flowing all around to pour over yourself. Then we had tea up on the rooftop balcony overlooking the city (see photos — beautiful — but can’t take pictures inside the spa). Definitely recommended!

Wonderfully Hammam experience. Peaceful, relaxing, cleansing......it was perfect after an enthralling day of exploring Málaga, This was the ideal way to unwind. The black soap and exfoliant were great. I selected to have exfoliation treatment but instead was taken for a massage. I didn't raise a question as the massage was fantastic, the masseuse had healing hands. The lemon oil was especially good. Finished off with time to unwind on the rooftop terrace with a grand view of the cathedral

I loved it. It is, what it is... And it was perfect for me. It is more of an "Olde School" steam room Hammam. If you are looking for roses, angel dust, and candle light, I suggest you look at the other more elegant local options. I sent my wife to the more elegant option, and I made my appointment for bath-house and massage here. I was glad I did. When you find the Hammam on the little street in the old city center area, you are greeted a the door and given fresh disposable slippers, a big white towel, a long flat Turkish style towel mat ( for sitting and lying down on in the steam areas), and a small plastic bowl for the traditional water scoop. You use the bowl to dip in the hot or cold water basins to rinse yourself as you sweat yourself to happiness. You will then be shown to the changing-locker room, where you will place all your clothes ( AND the white towel) into a secure locker, and take the key with the bungee cord bracelet. You will be naked. Repeat. You will be naked. No bathing suits or underwear allowed. This is a traditional style Hammam, like a traditional locker room invironment, and "nobody cares" what your body shape is, or what you are "packing". Be comfortable with who you are and enjoy the experience. There are private shower stalls in the hot area, where you can politely rinse off and clean your personal areas before joining the steam rooms. You can also use these at any point to rinse off or soap-rinse for a fresh feeling. The whole bath area is covered in white marble. Floors, walls, benches, and flat surfaces for lying down to steam. The places that you sit or lie down are heated, so it is wonderful to lie down and absorb the heat to relax your muscles and relieve the stress. During the process, you can dip your bowl in different basins of fresh cold or fresh warm water to pour over yourself to warm up or cool down. There are also 3 rooms going from hot to warm, and then to not so warm, time to cool down... At first I was a little unsure, but became comfortable with the whole idea of being surrounded by naked, steaming brothers of the hammam. There is no "funny business" that I noted, and everyone seems cool, and just going about their business. Other participants just mildly watched others pass in boredom, or closed their eyes soaking in the heat. I had called ahead and made an appointment for an hour massage, so I came early to let the heat and steam soak in to prepare me for a good massage. I made it clear ( in my limited Spanish) that I wanted a good strong massage, and the young lady that gave the massage gave 110 percent. Otherwise they will give you a relaxing style massage, which is a lighter touch. ( btw...this is a real Hammam place, not a happy ending style place) The price for my steam time AND my hour massage was right at 45 Euros. PERFECT. There is also a guy that gives massages that I saw there also. I got the lady, I guess because she was available at the time I wanted to book. She was perfect. As she said, "small, but strong", ha ha. The massages take place in the private massage area upstairs with professional tables, etc. You can also set your massage times anywhere from 15 minutes to multi-hours as you wish. I definitely recommend it. I am in town for 4 days, and am already thinking about going back. Supposedly, it is a Hammam for mixing both men and women, but I didn't see any, and I know my wife wouldn't like it. ( Nor would I ) Check though to see if there is couples nite, or women's times. I think it is better to keep it as it is. Like I said at the beginning, " It is, what it is", and that's okay with me. A DEFINITE PERSONAL THING TO DO in MALAGA. Also, an interesting note: I enjoyed the background music. When I first got there, it sounded like 1950s Mel Torme, and then later transitioned to a middle eastern traditional vibe, then as I was getting dressed to leave, I realized it had transitioned to more of a new age massage background vibe. All in all a...

No volveré a ir.

Siempre volverás a repetir.
