La mar del garum — Restaurant in Málaga

Place is lovely, but they con you for everything else. They place bread on your table without asking and charge you for it even though you did not eat it. He said its part of the service. Then they charged extra per beer, when i questioned the price he said “oh u got the bottle and its more”. Then i say “well on you menu it’s different price to what u charged me. He replied “oh, price is wrong on the menu!”

In any descent restaurant they would of take the bread off and charged the price of the beer shown on the menu.

We ordered fried baby squid. It was a big portion, but turned out it was more batter than squid, it was very oily, made me feel sick after having just a few. Did not enjoy it at all. Complete waste.

Dar las Gracias a Daniel Andrade sobre todo por la buena gestión y organización del Restaurante y sus compañeros siempre muy atento con todos los clientes buscando soluciones y el trato personalizado a cada cliente, Intenta en la medida de lo posible que todos los clientes estemos contentos y bien atendidos Daniel es una persona muy humana y con mucha empatía con las personas. La verdad que después de 19 años viniendo por esta playa y este chiringuito este año es el mejor que está gestionando el tema del servicio y la atención al cliente y luego decir que la cocina excelente la paella 🥘 de marisco o con bogavante 🦞 sabor espectacular, el Calamar Gigante a la brasa buenísimo, los espetos de sardinas en su punto, el Pez Limón a la brasa Riquísimo y bien hecho, y el Pargo espetado espectacular. está es la Sétima vez que volvemos este año y repetimos en este Chiringuito gracias al buen servicio al excelente trato y atención, enhorabuena al gran equipo que hace posible que los clientes y usuarios de esta playa 🏝️ disfrutemos de estos días por aquí y lo hagan más ameno, mil gracia de verdad a seguir así y seguir mejorando...

food is ok for fried and the decor and lighting are decent, so you might think 2 stars is low, but the service is poor and half of the staff are in a world of their own. they torture you ith bad reggaton, its overall expensive and just not a consistent dining experience. try somewhere else, there are other more decent places to eat within 150m walk , try la palapa...
