This was, without question, one of the worst service experiences I’ve had. Unless you want to pay over €300 and watch the staff have more fun than you laughing and kissing eachother? 🤣 From the moment we arrived, we were completely ignored by staff. No greeting, no direction to our cabana—just left standing around while employees walked past without a word. Once we were finally settled, things somehow got worse. The waitress who came to take our order was rude, abrupt, and dismissive. Mid-order, she literally stopped talking to us, turned to another guest, kissed him, and walked away to take his order instead. I tried to get someone else’s attention, but was blatantly ignored. When my food eventually came, it was wrong, a basic order of chips turned into an unnecessary drama. Staff huddled around discussing it, but no one actually fixed the problem. Instead, they passed my burger around like it was a joke and then just left it sitting on the side. No explanation. No apology. And yes, it was cold and stale by the time it reached me. The overall atmosphere among staff was unprofessional at best. Most were standing around in groups, laughing, kissing, and socializing, rather than checking in on guests or actually doing their jobs. No warmth, no effort, no hospitality. It felt like we were an inconvenience for even being there. To top it off, a staff member climbed onto the roof of our cabana with shoes on to remove a speaker directly above our heads, without warning. Not only was this a clear health and safety issue, but it was also a completely inappropriate intrusion into our space. Whoever is managing this team seriously needs to reassess their training and oversight. We each paid €150 expecting quality service, food, and drinks, but the service was practically non-existent throughout the day. To make matters worse, our cabana was completely blocked from the sun, which defeated the whole purpose of being at the beach in the first place The staff, with one exception, were uninterested, unprofessional, and disrespectful. The only saving grace was Julianno/john and I think he deserves some praise. He was polite, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about the guests. He smiled, checked in with us when no one else would, and handled himself with professionalism and kindness. In a team full of people who looked like they didn’t want to be there, Julian stood out in the best way. He’s the only reason this review gets a star at all. We visited Silencio Torremolinos, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. The sunbeds cost €10 per person, which is quite expensive, but the worst part was that the setup made it impossible to adjust your position. The sunbeds are fixed and packed too tightly together, so you can’t move them to follow the sun. Most of the time we were stuck in the shade from the neighbor’s parasol, which ruined the whole point of being at the beach.
The service was awful. None of the staff spoke English, and we tried several times to order food and drinks, but they kept ignoring us. Eventually, we walked up to the bar to ask directly, but they just told us to go back to our sunbed and wait for someone to come over. Of course, no one ever did. We noticed that many other guests had the same problem, waving and trying to get attention without success. The staff were simply rude and uninterested in helping anyone.
Also, you’re not allowed to bring your own food or drinks, so you’re forced to buy from them – which is pretty difficult when no one will take your order
WARNING! The bill at the end was not right, the had added on drinks we hadn’t bought. We tried to explain to them that it was wrong but since none of them spoke English it was very difficult. Always check the bill here before you leave.
