This is a small neighbourhood restaurant off the main strip. Nothing fancy but they have a sheltered terrace where most customers eat. It's on a quiet residential street about 3-4 blocks from the beach. The waitress we had in September was extremely helpful and had pretty good English. She moved quickly and was responsive to my wife’s questions about gluten and the potential for cross contamination. We were also a large, noisy group of 12 people and she hustled to serve us. So in that sense it was a very pleasant experience. Unfortunately, I don’t remember the menu options too well but my wife did have a few GF options. She chose cod pil pil with French fries but was disappointed because the cod was undercooked. Both myself and others in our party chose garlic pork tenderloin slices with chips and ratatouille. Read moreReally disappointed. First off the service is VERY slow. I would not mind waiting 30 minutes for the starters, but then we waited another 30 minutes for the mains. They must have a very poorly organized kitchen.
The food itself is well presented and looks delicious! But looks can be deceiving. I think they have forgotten that salt is important in the cooking process to help draw out the natural flavors of what otherwise seemed to be nice fresh ingredients. EVERYthing we ordered was bland. The only dish that was remotely good was the Ensalada de Tomate con ventresca, but even that was ruined because the tomatoes were far too cold, thus killing their flavor as well.
On the bright side, it could be a nice place for the free tapas provided with the beers. That was the only food item we all agreed...

Apparently a Michelin star cook made this. And all of this at an extremely affordable price (below 20€), were from the Netherlands and there we would have payed like 40€ for this dish alone.
