O Mamma Mia - A True Italian Gem! If you’re looking for an authentic Italian experience, look no further than O Mamma Mia! This cozy, charming restaurant truly delivers on every level. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere that feels just like a little slice of Italy. The food? Absolutely incredible! The portions are generous—perfect for those who love to leave feeling full and satisfied. Each bite bursts with authentic flavors that make you feel like Nonna herself is in the kitchen. Every dish is crafted with care, from the perfectly seasoned sauces to the freshly prepared pastas and hearty mains. Whether you’re a fan of classic Italian comfort food or looking to try something new, this place has it all. And let’s not forget the service—friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making your experience memorable. If you’re in the area and craving Italian cuisine, O Mamma Mia is an absolute must-visit. I can’t wait to come back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Came here on our first night in Malaga. The food once served was delicious and not a bad price however... The sevrice here was pretty poor. When we first arrived we were told it would be a 30 minute wait for a table outside. We decided to go ahead and book and walked around to see if there was anywhere cheaper. After the 30 min wait we went back to restaurant. They told us a few times our tabel still wasn't ready but proceeded to sit others down who hadn't book, but becuase they were in groups of less people they sat them down. Once we finally sat down we managed to quickly order food having had so long to choose while waiting. Foof took a little while to come but it wasn't awful. Food arrived and it was nice, waiters listen to requests as well for how spicey I wanted it. Ordering the bill also took a while. The food was nice but probably not worth the wait. The waiter also gave us each others food which caused confusion but nothing major.

Where to start, one of the worst experiences what I ever had! Especially customer service was the weakest point of our visit as the waiters behavior was really terrible and not respectful at all…. We ordered a starter - caprese and we were waiting for it more than 1 hour!!!! Come on, 1 hour for a starter which was basically 1 small toast with straciatella and 3 tomatoes (they are calling it caprese). We asked why we are waiting and we were told that “no comprende” and i can continue like this with other dishes what we ordered. The behavior of waiter was terrible, he was totally different when he had conversation with Spanish speaking guys and it’s pity…

Absolutely terrible experience from start to finish. One of the worst restaurant visits I’ve ever had.

First, the carpaccio — somehow, they managed to overcook something that is supposed to be raw. The texture was rubbery and dry, completely ruining what should be a light and fresh appetizer.

Then came the carbonara pasta. Or rather, it didn’t come — we had to wait nearly an hour for it. And when it finally arrived, it had three lonely pieces of bacon. We asked the waiter if it was possible to bring more bacon, and to our surprise — or rather, horror — the new plate came not just with bacon, but also with a beard hair that looked like it came straight from the chef’s face. That completely killed our appetite. We had waited almost an hour and a half, only to lose the will to even finish our food.

And it didn’t stop there.

The restroom situation was just as disgusting. There was no flush button, just a broken mechanism hanging off the wall. To reach the urinal, you had to awkwardly squeeze around barrels that were stacked in the way, as if the storage room had been turned into a bathroom. Utterly unhygienic and unacceptable.

Outside, the smell of garbage was overwhelming, and inside the restaurant, the stench of harsh cleaning chemicals made it nearly impossible to breathe, let alone eat. It smelled like they spilled an entire bucket of floor detergent right before we arrived — suffocating and absolutely not appetizing.

Finally, the staff clearly struggled with English. While we understand not everyone is fluent, it was extremely difficult to communicate even the simplest requests. Most of our questions were met with confused stares or misinterpretations, which only added to the frustration.

In summary: overcooked carpaccio, carbonara with a hair in it, disgusting bathrooms, unbearable smells both inside and outside, and poor communication with staff. We waited over 90 minutes and left with empty stomachs and bad moods.

Wouldn’t come back here even if the meal were free. Avoid this place...

Beautiful restaurant setting with appalling customer service and rude staff.

Visited this restaurant on 10th June 2025 at approximately 3.15pm. Restaurant not busy, waited to be seated by staff, two members walked past us and completely ignored us. One member then returned to seat us and a few minutes later a different member of staff threw 4 menus on the table and left.

Another member came to take drinks order - which when delivered was incorrect but we were prepared to let this go. I asked member of staff about the Gluten Free menu as we were unable to access internet to scan QR code and was told it’s any pizza or pasta dish.

Order placed for four main meals at 3.30pm. Witnessed other diners meals arriving in what appeared to be relays - one family ate their meals at different times!

Staff who had previously served us had obviously finished their shift and sat in restaurant with their friends and ordered food which was delivered promptly.

Our meals had still not arrived at 4.30pm -1 hour later - my husband went inside to enquire where our meals were - a party had arrived after us at 4pm and their meals had been served.

We were informed that they were having difficulties in the kitchen and our food had not yet been prepared.

At this point we left the restaurant and went around the corner to Terra Mia and were greeted by attentive staff and served in a speedy and efficient manner.

Clearly O Mamma Mia could learn some tips from Terra Mia in customer service.

Would...

We were a party of four. We ordered drinks and 1 starter and 4 main dishes. We waited for over an hour for our food. When we asked about the starter, the arrogant server told us that he does not understand us (but he did when we ordered?). Apparently in this restaurant the starter comes with the main course and we should've asked if we wanted it differently. Then he told us it will only be 3 minutes and everything will be ready. Then we waited another 10 minutes and half of our food came. When we asked about the rest, the server said he only has 2 hands, so what do we expect. Then we waited another 10 minutes for the rest. What came was a disaster. The caprese came as a small piece of toast, 3 cherry tomatoes and straciatella. Then cannelloni with Iberian cheek came filled with minced meat. The pizza came with straciatella instead of burrata. The ossobuco alla Milanese came without any saffron in the risotto. When asked about any of this, they said that this is Spain and we should expect the food to be different. Which would be fine, if they said so in the beginning. We did not stay. We did not pay for the food. The drinks were fine, although the beer came with the foam fallen, so it was sitting on the counter for dinner time. We definitely do not recommend this restaurant. It seems that they treat foreigners and locals differently, which is not acceptable. Avoid at...
