We actually hunted this place down after we walked past the night before because it looked so cute and inviting. While the food was good the service was horrible.
Similar to other customers on here, all of the staff we encountered was rude except for one younger gentleman. We came in at 10:45 and they sat us. Their hours say open until 12am on google and we asked if they were open, they said yes, so we thought nothing of it.
Then they came over and told us to order because they were closing. So we did and then while we waited the kitchen and servers complained about how they sat a two top and had to stay open. There were two other tables outside with us.
They basically dropped the food on the table and left. They kept throwing things loudly on the ground outside while cleaning up and dragging the tables inside. Then this larger man kept walking outside, staring us down while we ate and then huffing away. He did this 3 times trying to force us out.
I worked in many restaurants. I understand wanting to go home but they sat us and then tried to rush us out. Such a poor experience for their prices considering there are plenty of lovely tapas places around for half the price.
The biggest turn off was them talking about us in Spanish thinking that we wouldn’t understand because we speak English more fluently.
Avoid this place. There are many wonderful places in Malaga but this isn’t...
Read moreThis restaurant is located in a popular location, just off of Calle Marqués de Larios. I am convinced this is the only reason this restaurant is prosperous. We were seated quickly on the patio. Because we had a stroller, they put us in a far corner — the only place on the patio were a heat lamp was NOT on. An easy detail to miss, and we were grateuful to just be seated during a busy time. After being quickly seated, this was the only time anything was done quickly. It took a long time to even put in a drink order, so we made sure to put in our food order as well to not delay things any further. After finally getting drinks and our first tapas, they forgot our son's tap water. We asked again, but it never came. Appropiatley if it's not something you have to pay for, it just never comes. The food was good, but not amazing. Also, the portions were rather small. If you didn't know any better, it would be easy to think this restaurant was good. Don't be fooled. Their are many, many restaurants in Málaga with amazing food, and service. Don't waste your time, which is most likely limited during your holiday, with this sub...
Read moreWe had high hopes for this restaurant and left with mixed feelings.I have read the previous reviews and I understand why some feels a bit disappointed. Regarding the waiters they were straightforward, did their job good there were not so much of chit-chatting (which I do not mind - after all it was 37 degrees the whole day and still 30 degrees celsius in the evening… after a long day in this temperature all of them “suited up” not sure if everybody would want to go chatting in a second language… or simply this is the style here… I do not know)
Lamb-chops and pig lizard was delicious. Though we got 1 lamb chop basically no meat on it. Padron peppers were great and the octopus / potato tapas also good.
What I am not happy with is that the bread and bread sticks which we did not order and intentionally did not eat was still charged. So if you get this too and have no intention to eat, better to say beforehand to avoid to be charged for it.
There was a live music (violin) for a little that helped with the atmosphere.
Overall good food straightforward service, but not cheap in a sense of...
